About the Role

Cadence is seeking a highly skilled and analytically driven Data Analyst for Global Security & Facilities to build and maintain the data foundation that enables strategic decision-making across two global organizations: Global Security and Global Facilities & Real Estate.

This role will be responsible for collecting, centralizing, integrating, visualizing, and preparing data for AI-enabled insights across a wide range of systems—security technologies, incident reporting, audits, threat assessments, real estate/workplace systems, utilization data, and financial and performance metrics.

The Data Analyst will build dashboards, trend analyses, and forecasting models that directly support two VP-level leaders and will be used at the senior leadership level, including Finance, Legal, Workplace, HR, and Executive Management. This is a critical, high-impact role that creates the analytical backbone for operational and strategic planning.

Key Responsibilities

Data Integration & Centralization

  • Aggregate data from multiple platforms across Security and Facilities, including:
    • Security technical systems (VMS, access control, alarm systems)
    • Incident reports, case management, threat assessments, audit findings
    • Utilization data, badge data, occupancy sensors, IWMS/CAFM systems
    • Real estate financials, space planning, lease data, construction metrics
    • Vendor performance, SLA metrics, contract data, and project trackers
  • Design and maintain a centralized data repository or structured model suitable for analytics, automation, and future AI applications.
  • Work with IT and system owners to ensure data integrity, accessibility, and system connectivity.

Analytics, Reporting & Visualization

  • Develop and maintain executive-ready dashboards and performance management systems for both Global Security and Facilities.
  • Prepare analytical outputs for quarterly business reviews, board-level updates, annual planning, and ongoing KPI reporting.
  • Build data models that provide insights on:
    • Incident trends and predictive risk indicators
    • Office utilization, space needs, consolidation opportunities
    • Security program performance (response times, compliance, readiness)
    • Facility costs, operational spend, and real estate efficiency
  • Present insights clearly and concisely to VP-level leadership and cross-functional partners.

Predictive & Advanced Analytics

  • Develop forecasting and predictive models to support proactive decision-making, such as:
    • Threat/risk hotspots and leading indicators
    • Utilization patterns and future space requirements
    • Cost/benefit modeling for real estate strategies
    • Security workload, GSOC demand, staffing projections
  • Contribute to building AI-assisted assessment and automation tools for Security and Facilities.
  • Identify opportunities to improve data quality, streamline reporting, and automate manual processes.

Cross-Functional Partnership

  • Collaborate closely with Finance, IT, Workplace/REW, HR, Legal, Engineering, Global Security Operations Center (GSOC), and construction/project teams.
  • Ensure alignment of metrics, reporting standards, and definitions across the organization.
  • Support VP-level leaders in preparing data for senior executives, including CFO, CHRO, CIO, and COO.
  • Build strong relationships with system owners to maintain continuous data flows and system integrations.

Governance & Quality

  • Maintain high standards for data hygiene, validation, documentation, and governance.
  • Create standardized templates for reporting, auditing, and performance review cycles.
  • Ensure sensitive Security and Facilities data is handled in compliance with privacy, legal, and internal controls.

Qualifications

Required

  • 5+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or related fields.
  • Strong proficiency in analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar).
  • Advanced skills in Excel and SQL, with experience manipulating large datasets.
  • Experience building dashboards and executive-level reports.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex data into clear insights and recommendations.
  • Ability to handle sensitive data and support risk-related decision-making with discretion.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred

  • Experience with workplace analytics, real estate systems, access control/badge data, or incident management systems.
  • Experience in high-tech, semiconductor, biotech, infrastructure, or similar environments.
  • Exposure to predictive analytics, machine learning preparation, or AI workflows.
  • Experience with Python/R or equivalent analytical tools.
  • Familiarity with IWMS/CAFM platforms (e.g., Archibus, iOFFICE, Serraview), or security systems (Lenel, Genetec, Everbridge, Resolver, etc.).

The annual salary range for California is $126,000 to $234,000. You may also be eligible to receive incentive compensation: bonus, equity, and benefits. Sales positions generally offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive compensation structure. Please note that the salary range is a guideline and compensation may vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
