At Walmart International, our Product Management teams build and define digital products that allow our customers across multiple markets to shop seamlessly across channels to maximize business KPIs. We are seeking a new member to join our team as the Staff Product Manager on eCommerce. This crucial role serves as the steward of the discovery phase of our customer journey and will be responsible for the success of critical functionality used by millions of customers daily across our international markets. The ideal candidate will have a strong product sense and an individual contributor with a drive to learn, grow and solve tough problems at scale. The candidate may have worked in Ecommerce and more specifically on customer facing products before, setting strategic direction, managing agile teams, and optimizing performance for one or more products. The candidate will serve as the bridge between business and technology, helping to set business priorities and direct execution with technology teams, and is also responsible for leading cross-technology projects.

About The Team

As a part of Walmart's International eCommerce Product team, we are focused on delivering delightful shopping experiences for customers across markets by building and leveraging cutting-edge technology solutions. The team is responsible for Discovery and Selection experience in the customer shopping journey for Mexico, Canada, and other Walmart International sites for our customers and drive key business KPIs. We shape customer experience across eCommerce journey, providing our customers with relevant decision drivers and surfacing the relevant shopping items for customers to purchase on our websites and apps. 

You’ll sweep us off our feet if…

  •  You can develop and champion the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Discovery and Selection eCommerce products, ensuring alignment with corporate goals and objectives. This includes anticipating market trends, identifying opportunities for innovation, and positioning the product for long-term success.
  • You can lead the product discovery process for large, complex, and ambiguous projects. Conduct comprehensive competitive and gap analyses, customer research, and leverage data insights to inform product direction and prioritize features that deliver maximum value to customers.
  • You can drive consensus and facilitate decision-making in a matrixed organization with multiple stakeholders across technology and business teams. Foster strong relationships and ensure clear communication to align priorities and resources effectively.
  • You can collaborate closely with designers, engineers, and data scientists to create outstanding web and app experiences. Oversee the end-to-end management of customer journeys, ensuring that each touchpoint is optimized for user satisfaction and business impact.
  • You can evaluate the effectiveness of products through rigorous experimentation and A/B testing. Use insights gained to iterate and launch the most compelling app experiences that meet and exceed customer expectations.
  • You can develop compelling and insightful recommendations based on thorough analysis. Author and deliver high-impact presentations and strategic plans to stakeholders at all levels of the organization, ensuring that proposals are data-driven and clearly articulated.

You’ll make an impact by:

  • Bringing Passion to ideate, plan, and ensure Product Capabilities and drive Digital Merchandising Transformation for Space and Assortment.
  • Apply Analytics skills to define data capabilities to empower users with data insight.
  • Partnering with our Engineering and Data Science teams to create enterprise solutions that are reliable, scalable, and secure with great user experience.
  • Developing and enhancing products – you will build capability and tool roadmaps, align business and technical needs, analyze customer and stakeholder needs, identify market strategies, turn customer insights into actionable initiatives and manage the playbook for the Process Management discipline.
  • Defining vision and strategies for the discovery and selection team, using domain expertise, internal and external best practices, and designing initiatives to mature process discovery.
  • Building collaborative relationships with key partners by driving priorities aligned to business goals, communicating, and prioritizing initiatives, and gaining buy-in from executive leadership.
  • Providing overall direction by analyzing business objectives and customer needs
  • Building a team environment by partnering to solve problems and staying focused till there is a solution.

You are a great fit for this role, if:

  • You have 5-7 years’ experience in product management, management consulting, retail, eCommerce business functions, or related fields
  • You are equally adept at devising strategic initiatives and operationalizing tactical projects, with a proven track record of driving both high-level vision and detailed execution.
  • You are a self-starter capable of fully immersing yourself in structured problem solving and data analysis to identify problems and opportunities for improvement. Able to zoom out to develop compelling insights and viable solutions and execute complex projects and comprehensive action plans.
  • You are exceptional at communication with the ability to structure a compelling storyline. Proficient in building presentation decks and briefing documents that support the narrative and effectively communicate key messages to stakeholders at all levels.
  • You are skilled in determining and utilizing relevant business metrics, analyses, and reports to measure, monitor, and improve performance. Able to identify and apply sound, fact-based criteria in setting priorities and making decisions.
  • You are tactful, respectful, and effective working with a diverse array of individuals. Involve others in decisions and plans that affect them, when appropriate, and understand how to convey a sense of urgency that motivates others to complete responsibilities and achieve goals.
  • You demonstrate creativity and strength in the face of change, obstacles, or adversity. Highly organized with the ability to adapt to competing demands and shifting priorities while maintaining focus and effectiveness.
  • You are willing both to get your hands dirty with detailed work and to liaise indirectly with teams. Comfortable with a range of tasks, from strategic thinking to operational execution.
  • You are inquisitive and keen to take initiative, whether the task is big or small. Demonstrates a proactive approach and a strong desire to make things happen.
     

Preferred Qualifications:

  • You have a solid background and understanding of eCommerce, retail, and technology.
  • You have built products in complex matrix organizations. 
  • You have built end customer facing products.
  • You have an MBA.

The annual salary range for this position is $143,000.00-$286,000.00
