SUMMARY

The Digital Marketing Planning Supervisor will lead the planning and execution of emails, SMS (text messaging) and marketing campaigns related to the execution and achievement of financial results. This role will oversee and update the email marketing calendar, daily wireframes, and manage our external vendor for the bi-weekly digital direct mail (DM). This position will collaborate with the Digital Optimization team to identify opportunities that will improve customer experience and align communication across channels. This role will also work in partnership with campaign managers on campaign emails. The Supervisor requires staying up to date on best practices and continual learning of brand priorities, opportunities and challenges, as well as adapting to ongoing consumer insights in a fast-evolving digital channel.

Leads the email content and calendar flow for marketing, campaign, HR, Ops, and miscellaneous production jobs. Serve in a supervisory role overseeing Digital Marketing Planners, SMS (text messaging) calendar and content, the bi-weekly digital direct mail, and future digital direct mail solutions. This role reviews wireframes and other creative requests, proofs assets, and QAs for accuracy.

JOB DUTIES

  • Own and execute email & SMS planning. Email content will drive sales and improve open and click-thru rates.
    • Reviews wireframes, SMS, and other digital requests, and proofs for accuracy prior to launch.
    • Collaborates with cross-functional business partners, merchandising teams, and creative to plan and execute email.
    • Promotes best practices for email and SMS and applies them for the best customer experience.
  • Owns relationship and manages external vendor to strategize and align on goals and opportunities for the bi-weekly digital direct mail.
    • Strategizes with manager to deliver clear communication, solve issues, and meet deadlines.
  • Collaborate with the Digital Optimization & CRM teams to identify opportunities that will improve customer experience and align communication across channels.
    • Work with CRM to analyze and communicate results.
    • Provide recommendations to cross-functional partners for improvement.
  • Manage and develop a team of Digital Planners that are responsible for planning and executing emails and SMS (text messaging).
    • Provides leadership, training and coaching to develop teams’ skills and performance over time.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Direct supervisory responsibility over a digital marketing team and conducts performance management.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Education Minimum: Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Merchandising, Business, or Communication

Education Preferred: MBA/ Degree in Marketing, Merchandising, Business, or Communication

Experience Minimum: 5+ years of experience in Retail, Marketing, Digital, or Merchandising

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • This role requires in-person attendance 4 days a week at the Store Support Center (SSC) located in Hudson, OH. Flexibility to work remotely when requested is determined by management and business needs.
  • Sit or stand at a workstation for extended periods while maintaining focus and productivity.
  • Move around an office space and between buildings on a large campus, including reaching for files, retail product, supplies, or equipment, as well as the ability to adapt to various workstation setups.
  • Work standard business hours and extended hours as needed based on task and project demands.
  • Utilization of all communication styles - written, verbal, electronic options.
  • Lift and carry office supplies, documents, retail product or equipment weighing up to 20 pounds as needed for tasks such as organizing or setting up workstations.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Programs (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
  • Self-motivated and able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to analyze, articulate, and solve complex problems and concepts to make effective business decisions
  • Strong interpersonal, written, verbal communication and presentation skills, with the ability to interface effectively with individuals at various levels, both internally and externally
  • Ability to effectively prioritize individual and team workload in a frequently changing environment while remaining detailed and organized
  • Exemplifies passion for the business and leads by example with a solution oriented style
  • Strong mentoring/coaching skills
