The Job
A BOC Operator is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and repair of building systems to ensure optimal performance, energy efficiency, and occupant comfort. This role involves monitoring and adjusting HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems, as well as implementing energy-saving measures.

The Daily – Major Activities

  • Operates video signals through an automatic broadcast system, controlling the broadcast schedule, the presence and levels of video, audio, subtitles, identification logos, remote command tones, and other effects and secondary events, making the necessary changes in the broadcast list to correct mismatches, errors, or detected problems and to adjust the duration of events and event blocks to maintain programming according to the planned or established timeline following the instructions of their supervisor or manager.
  • Performs checks on the broadcast output and also on satellite reception; for certain signals, it has the support of audio and video failure alarms. In case of failures or problems, performs the following actions or some of them:​- Switching to backup equipment through electronic systems.
  • - Changing content to emergency material provided for this purpose.
    - Manually activating or deactivating devices.
    - Changing video source to an alternative server and/or external sources.
    - Redirecting audio channels.
    - Changing events in the broadcast list.
    • Reports and eventually documents detected problems and corrective actions taken.
    • Reviews stored material for future broadcast and tests graphics, subtitles, and other operational checks of equipment and/or content according to supervisor’s instructions.

The Essentials

  • Certification: Building Operator Certification (BOC) or equivalent.
  • Experience: Prior experience in building operations or a related field.
  • Technical Skills: Strong understanding of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.
  • Problem-Solving: Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Communication: Good communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to perform manual labor and work in various environments
