As a Production Tech Specialist 1 supporting CPK, you will be trusted to lead small selected production lines/team independently at our Manufacturing Facility in Houston, TX.

In this role, a typical day will include:

  • Accountable for setting up, operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting manufacturing packaging machinery/equipment that packages materials or products.
  • Monitoring, evaluating, and adjusting manufacturing packaging equipment to maximize quality and efficiency.
  • Restocking machines with packaging materials: may include packing, wrapping, securing, or labeling containers
  • Providing group training and maintaining training progress report in Workday and Veeva.
  • Ensuring accurate collection and reporting of daily production data
  • Operational expert: main point of contact for routine support for operations
  • Resolving supply and other resource constraints.
  • Reworking or reprocessing assemblies and subassemblies.
  • Initiating product holds and executing QN in SAP system.
  • Leading limited-scope projects: small improvements, Kaizen, 6S, environmental sustainability, etc.
  • Maintaining a positive attitude and working effectively in a team environment.
  • Back-up to the Line Coordinator
  • Ability to handle operational procedures change controls and updates, including creation of job aids and other documentation.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO ALCON:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • The ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English
  • Work Hours: Tuesday-Friday; 6:00am-4:30pm
