Plant Manager
The Plant Manager is responsible for driving continuous and significant improvements in the areas of safety, quality, delivery, cost, and working capital. This will be achieved by developing a world class plant operations organization and methodically implementing the strategic objectives (a unique combination of strategic planning, strategy deployment, lean management, and manufacturing techniques).
What You Will Do:
Drive rapid, significant and sustainable improvement in on-time delivery, lot size, lead time and cost reduction
Provide the leadership necessary for the development and execution of a manufacturing 5 yr strategy.
Lead regular KPI reviews with the Operational and Business unit leaders
Leads the development and implementation of the roadmap to achieve breakthrough operating performance (5S, SMED, TPM, etc)
Coach and mentor an outstanding team
Ensure key manufacturing metrics and key performance indicator systems are consistently tracked
Continually evolve manufacturing efficiency and assess opportunities to reduce cost, taking aggressive action to drive financial performance
Oversee coordination of the manufacturing function with sales, marketing, design engineering, and other functional organizations
Continually benchmark best practices and drive use of such across responsible operations
What You Need to Succeed:
Bachelor’s Degree, Industrial Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering preferred.
Ten years manufacturing operations leadership experience.
Additional Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
The potential to lead larger and more strategically complex manufacturing organizations or assume a full P&L general management assignment is desired.
The successful candidate will also be a strong developer of people and teams, believing it a critical component in driving organizational change and effectiveness.
Highly customer responsive.
Very resourceful, combining strong manufacturing and technical abilities with good overall management acumen.
Ability and passion to lean operating system culture.
Understanding of non-repetitive, configurable manufacturing processes.
Ability to create followership and lead an organization through significant change and improvement.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to effectively communicate. throughout all levels of the organization.
Possesses a high sense of urgency.
Unwavering credibility with the ability to build consensuses.
Ability to build relationships between all business functions.
