Overview:  

The Senior Business Analytics & Reporting Analyst partners with Talent Acquisition and HR leadership to deliver accurate, decision‑ready insights that support operational performance, workforce planning, and strategic initiatives. This role is responsible for translating complex data into clear, actionable reporting through dashboards, analyses, and executive‑level storytelling, while continuously improving data quality and reporting efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Serve as the primary TA insights and analytics expert, owning analytics intake, issue resolution and TA analytics and insights deliverables.

  • Design, maintain, and enhance TA dashboards and reports, translating complex data into actionable, executive-ready insights that surface key trends, risks and opportunities for leadership decision-making.  

  • Partner cross‑functionally with centralized HR Analytics team to troubleshoot reporting issues, resolve data discrepancies, and strengthen data governance and integrity, while maintaining accountability for TA-specific analytics products.

  • Drive continuous improvement of reporting processes, tools, and standards to increase efficiency, reliability, and scalability of analytics solutions.

  • Ensure analytics outputs are validated, reliable and appropriate for leadership consumption.

  • Develop clear, well-structured, executive-ready presentation and materials that effectively communicate insights and recommendations.

  • Adhere to applicable compliance/operational risk controls in accordance with Company or regulatory standards and policies.

Experience and Education Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 3 years related experience or ,in lieu of a degree, a combined minimum of 7 years’ higher education and/or work experience.

  • Experience in business analytics, reporting, or workforce analytics, preferably within Human Resources or Talent Acquisition.

  • Strong proficiency in data analysis, dashboarding, and reporting tools, with the ability to present insights clearly to non‑technical audiences.

  • Experience building and maintaining dashboards using data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, Microsoft Power BI or similar).

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with stakeholders, prioritize competing requests, and deliver high‑quality analytical products in a fast‑paced environment.

  • Highly organized and detail‑oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy, consistency, and documentation standards.

Experience Preferred:

  • Experience supporting Talent Acquisition or HR Analytics, including recruiting, workforce metrics, or operational performance reporting.

  • Advanced proficiency in data visualization and reporting tools (e.g. Tableau, Microsoft Power BI or similar)

  • Demonstrated experience partnering with senior leaders to translate data into executive‑ready insights and recommendations.

M&T Bank is committed to fair, competitive, and market-informed pay for our employees. The pay range for this position is $62,200.00 - $103,600.00 Annual (USD). The successful candidate’s particular combination of knowledge, skills, and experience will inform their specific compensation.
