In this critical role, you will partner with the President of North America (NA) to lead, support, and prioritize key initiatives that align with Western Union’s overall strategy and objectives for the region. You will play a pivotal role in the development, communication, and execution of strategic goals aimed at driving revenue, maximizing profit, and ensuring organizational efficiency. You will also act as a project management lead on high-impact initiatives, ensuring alignment across teams and stakeholders to successfully execute our strategic pillars.

You’ll work closely with the North America leadership team to develop and deliver critical reporting, presentations, and documentation for internal and external audiences, including the Executive Team, Board of Directors, and other key stakeholders.

Role Responsibilities

  • Support the President of NA in the development, prioritization, and leadership of key strategic initiatives that align with revenue goals, organizational efficiency, and company growth. Develop strategic roadmaps and ensure objectives and key results are clearly understood and achieved across the region.

  • Lead and oversee large-scale, cross-functional, and enterprise-wide initiatives. Use advanced project management skills to ensure strategic programs are executed effectively, addressing both internal efficiencies and external growth opportunities.

  • Partner with senior leaders across departments to align strategic goals and initiatives with broader company objectives. Develop and facilitate communications for key meetings, including All Hands, Extended Leadership Team Meetings, and Office Hours.

  • Work closely with the President, NA to prepare and deliver reporting, presentations, and documents for high-level audiences such as the Executive Team and Board of Directors. Manage content for Monthly Business Reviews, Long-Range Plans, Operating Plans, and ad-hoc executive updates.

  • Manage and oversee workforce planning for the NA region. Lead efforts in facilitating extended leadership meetings and supporting communication strategies across the organization.

  • Oversee and execute change management efforts that ensure alignment with NA’s strategic objectives. Leverage strong communication skills to influence organizational change and promote cross-functional alignment.

Role Requirements

  • 10+ years of relevant professional experience, including expertise in program and project management. Experience in developing strategic roadmaps is preferred.

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with a demonstrated ability to influence and align cross-functional teams. Proven ability to effectively present strategic goals and outcomes to C-Level executives.

  • Advanced project management skills, with the ability to lead large-scale, cross-functional projects from inception to completion. PMP certification or equivalent is a plus.

  • A broad and deep understanding of the business, with the ability to distill complex data into actionable insights. Strong financial acumen and ability to support the business in maximizing return on investment.

  • Experience working in a heavily matrixed, international organization, with the ability to drive performance and alignment across multiple teams.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously, while maintaining a strong focus on strategic execution and delivering impactful results.

Salary

The base salary range is $175,000 - $195,000 USD per year, total on target compensation includes a base salary plus long-term and short-term incentives that align with individual and company performance.
