Northrop Grumman is currently seeking an experienced Composite Prototype Technician 1/2 to join our team at our Promontory facility in Promontory, Utah.

Fabrication, loading, prepping Carbon-Carbon components and running high temperature and high-pressure ovens and autoclaves. Operates hand tools including drills, routers, and saws in high precision manufacturing processes including computer interface controls and light-duty bench or floor type machine tools. Operates forklifts, barrel lifters & crane. Checks work using prescribed gauges, jigs and fixtures to measure close tolerances.

Requirements include:

• Must be able to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays.

• Safely performs duties associated with the Densification process which includes the set-up, operation and monitoring of high temperature and high-pressure equipment.

• Able to monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process control and design specifications.

• Participates in programs or functional team projects developing process improvement methods, solutions, and procedures to enhance program quality, cost, and scheduling.

• Must pass all job-specific or specialized training programs required for core tasks or specialized assignments.

• Required to perform safe handling of hazardous waste materials for disposal.

• Possess ability to understand and apply stringent procedures to assigned duties. Ethics, compliance, and quality of work are essential to this position.

• Must be able to safely lift up to 50 lbs.

• Currently possess or be able to obtain a secret clearance.

 

Education/Certifications/Experience Composite Prototype 1:

• High School Diploma or GED

Education/Certifications/Experience Composite Prototype 2:

• High School Diploma or GED

• 4 years of related Composite or Mechanical work experience

Salary Range: $42,000.00 - $70,000.00Salary Range 2: $49,900.00 - $83,100.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
