Job Title ​: Associate Software Engineer

Location: Bangalore

Business & Team:

Enterprise Services (ES) is responsible for the world leading application of technology and operations across every aspect of CommBank, from innovative product platforms for our customers to essential tools within our business. We also use technology to drive efficient and timely processing, an essential component of great customer service.

You will be working as a part of Lending & Integrated Channels Technology to achieve their strategic objectives through planning, prioritising, delivering and supporting projects and initiatives. Your team’s success will be realised through partnering with business and IT teams across both Lending & Integrated Channels business domain and Technology to deliver beautiful experiences and exceptional capabilities to our branch applications. Our solutions are relied upon and trusted by millions of Australian’s everyday so we put a great deal of emphasis on reliability, performance, security and ease of use.

  • Participate as a member of the software development team with minimal supervision and occasional guidance.

  • Contribute to the development of estimation, design, installation, configuration, integration and productionising of information technology system components.

  • Ensure rapid, automated and safe deployment of technical solutions.

  • Participate in the assimilation of platforms into their ecosystems, concentrating on all aspects of the stack including hardware and networking, data handling and the flow through to the application and its integration points.

Impact & Contribution

  • Focus on non-functional requirements such as security, reliability, performance, maintainability, scalability and usability.

  • Provide local technical support and assistance to non-technical members of the team.

  • Take on support and technical troubleshooting responsibility for production systems.

  • Drive continuous improvements for the system and team processes.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Maintain Murex env provisioning website

  • Handles cloud Environment preparation, refresh, rebuild, upkeep, maintenance, and upgrade activities.

  • Ensure cloud cost optimisation

  • Troubleshooting of Murex environment-specific issues including Infrastructure related issues and update pipelines for a permanent fix

  • Handling EOD execution and trouble shooting of issues related to it

Essential Skills:

  • 3+ Years of experience in AWS and Murex3.1 environment Management

  • Good experience in Murex (server side)

  • AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner

  • Experienced in Python, Monitoring tools, Web development

  • Linux/unix server knowledge

  • Automation/job scheduling tools such as Autosys and GIThub Action

  • Working experience with Cloud technologies on AWS (cloud formation, networking, storage is highly desirable)

  • Good communication and organisation skills working with a wider IT delivery team

Nice to have skills:

  • Basic SQL, Programming languages (Java and shell scripting)

  • experience with CI/CD tools such as GIT, Jira, Teamcity, Artificatory, etc.

  • Technical solution design experience and solution ownership

Qualification:

Bachelor's degree/ master's degree in engineering, Computer Science or in IT.
