Santander Consumer is one of the largest auto originators in the US and the largest asset-backed issuers within the industry.  This role is within the Finance organization which is responsible for leading and participating in several critical functions including:

  • Developing and executing a funding plan for the company;

  • Supporting executive management decision-making by analyzing results; assessing strategic alternatives and developing strategic plans;

  • Communicating financial results and forecasts with critical stakeholders, including executive management and Board of Directors, shareholders and regulators.

The Finance organization works across functions and Business lines in the Company, requiring a broad understanding of our business, risk and strategy. The Capital Markets analyst role interacts the day-to-day operations in: (Asset-Liability Management, Interest Rate Risk, Liquidity Risk, Cash Management, Investment Portfolio Management, Capital Planning and Recovery & Resolution).


Essential Functions/Responsibility Statements:

  • Reconciles internal reporting of financial and operational data (liquidity risk, asset level performance across all retail auto loan and lease, monthly bank warehouse utilization).

  • Assist in preparation of key reports and presentations utilized and presented by senior management

  • Provides in-depth assessments of collateral performance and characteristics which drive decisions on structuring, pricing, and negotiation of transactions.

  • Assist with all activities for execution of large loan transactions with our partner bank group.

  • Review, interpret and comment on complex debt financing legal agreements pertaining to various lending facilities and public securities execution.

  • Executes controls on key financial and risk data.

  • Executes and reports on SOX controls.

  • Reconciles accounting entries and reports for warehouse and private borrowing facilities.

  • Communicates effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Analyzes peer benchmarking and perform detail-oriented analytics reporting.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree: Accounting, Finance, Economics or equivalent field.

  • 0+ Years Relatable experience in Banking or financial services industry.

  • Possesses good judgment and strong personal drive, sense of urgency and initiative.

  • Ability to work well within a team, prioritize tasks, and handle numerous assignments simultaneously.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Effectively interface and collaborate with external and internal parties.

  • Excellent analytical, organizational and project management skills.

  • Detail oriented with ability to research, organize and analyze financial data.

  • Proficient in  Excel (pivot tables, vlookup, etc) and Powerpoint

The base pay range for this position is posted below and represents the annualized salary range. For hourly positions (non-exempt), the annual range is based on a 40-hour work week. The exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications and location.

Minimum:

$58,500.00 USD

Maximum:

$90,000.00 USD
