CNC Miller

Job Purpose

To manufacture parts using CNC milling machines (using milling operating systems) according to our drawings and specifications, supplying components to our Assembly Shop or directly to customers.

Main Duties

You will operate a range of manual and CNC milling machines within defined schedules to produce high-quality components. You will be responsible for:

  • Machinery Operation: Expertly operating a range of equipment including CNC Milling machines and manual mills.
  • Interpretation of Drawings: Understanding of the Machine Shop processes, from interpreting engineering drawings and specifications to guide manufacturing processes.
  • Self-Inspection of Parts: Ensuring our produced parts meet stringent quality standards.
  • Health & Safety Compliance: Maintaining a safe and tidy work environment in compliance with Health & Safety procedures and providing feedback on any issues.
  • Collaborative Working: Contributing ideas for process improvements within the wider team environment.
  • Efficient Workflow Management: Adhering to a structured schedule to ensure timely project delivery of high-quality components.


Candidate Profile

  • Proven Experience within CNC milling, machining processes or a related field, complemented by a relevant engineering qualification or apprenticeship.
  • Demonstrated competency with lathes using Haas/Heidenheim operating systems would be highly desirable or familiarity with other relevant control systems.
  • Strong technical skills and attention to detail and quality.
  • Competent in interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
  • Strong attention to quality with a methodical approach to tasks.
  • High degree of self-motivation and flexibility in undertaking various tasks.
