Director of Strategic Account Management

The Director of Strategic Account Management role is critical to the growing of the company! This position manages and drives the success of a team of individual contributors whose core responsibilities focus on the growth and success of our clients. 

Key Responsibilities: 

Team Leadership & Development: 

  • Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing account management team. 

  • Develop training programs to improve account management skills and knowledge of services and products. 

  • Set clear goals and objectives for the team, ensuring alignment with overall company goals. 

Customer Growth & Retention: 

  • Drive expansion through proactive relationship management and understanding of customer needs. 

  • Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling services and solutions to existing customers. 

  • Develop relationships and deliver Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) to reduce churn. 

Strategic Account Management: 

  • Manage relationships with key accounts, acting as a trusted advisor to executives and decision-makers within client organizations. 

  • Oversee and ensure the delivery of high-quality customer service. 

  • Serve as an escalation point for resolving customer issues, coordinating with multiple internal teams to provide solutions. 

Data-Driven Insights & Reporting: 

  • Analyze customer data to identify trends, challenges, and opportunities for improvement. 

  • Provide regular reporting on account management metrics. 

  • Use data-driven insights to inform decision-making and develop strategic plans for account growth. 

Collaboration with Internal Teams: 

  • Work closely with sales, onboarding/implementation and marketing teams to develop account-based marketing strategies and initiatives. 

  • Partner with the product team to ensure that customer feedback is incorporated into the product roadmap and development process. 

  • Collaborate with the onboarding/implementation team to ensure seamless onboarding and ongoing support for clients. 

Client Engagement & Advocacy: 

  • Develop and maintain deep relationships with customers to ensure satisfaction and advocacy. 

  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and customer meetings to build strong relationships and promote the company's offerings. 

  • Champion the voice of the customer within the organization, advocating for customer needs and priorities. 

What will make you stand out: 

  • Bachelor’s degree. 

  • 7-10 years of experience in account management or sales with at least 3 years in a leadership role. 

  • Proven track record of managing and scaling teams in a high-growth company. 

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills, with a focus on driving team performance and customer success. 

  • Ability to work cross-functionally and influence stakeholders at all levels. 

  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to leverage data to drive strategic decisions and improve performance. 

  • Experience using CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce).
