2024 has been an exciting year for Doppler. After raising our $20M Series A from CRV in 2022, we have now helped over 47,000 startups and enterprises manage their secrets at scale. After building the community, it is time to scale and monetize. Throughout this year, we’re getting far more ambitious by setting even higher product, growth, sales, and hiring goals!
Doppler's mission is to make it easy and secure for developers of every experience level and teams of any size to manage their app configuration and secrets. But hasn't this been done?
Developers tend to be either struggling with the manual management of .env files, or wrestling with an overly complex secrets manager that's not built for software development. Doppler is changing that by making app configuration and secrets management easy, intuitive, and scalable. It's the SecretOps platform built by developers for developers.
Our team is entrepreneurial, with a bias for action. We never back down from a spirited debate and believe we are all responsible for exploring the hard questions. We value self-awareness and meaningful impact. We are open to unconventional approaches and have learned not to judge a book by its cover. Your time is your most valuable resource, so you set your hours. We use Slack to communicate and default to zero meetings. We aim to document everything. We also recommend you invest your time in 10% compounding time.
Doppler is a SecretOps platform that enables developers and security teams to keep their secrets secure and in sync wherever they run their code. SecretOps is the set of security philosophies, frameworks, and tools used to operationalize secrets at scale.
There are over 47,000 companies using Doppler as their secrets management solution. Growth continues due to a combination of our freemium strategy and being a product that developers love to use. Product led growth has been a vital component to our success and we’re now looking for a Senior Growth Marketer to drive impactful acquisition strategies, focusing on attracting signups from our ideal SMB segment for our self-service B2B product.
In this role, you will scale top-of-funnel growth, build acquisition loops, and expand our reach within our most valuable self-serve customer base as well as be a cross functional stakeholder for our enterprise sales team and initiatives. The ideal candidate will be data-led, experimental, and collaborative, with experience marketing to developers to deliver sustainable growth.
We are committed to being the secrets manager that engineering teams and security teams love to use because we build with developers in mind.
You’ll be part of the Go To Market team that encompasses Marketing, Product Growth, and DevRel. We’re a team that genuinely understands and cares about our users, putting their privacy first, even when it makes things harder for us. We collaborate with as little ego as humanly possible and are constantly trying to improve how we work and deliver results.
What you’ll do:
1. Growth Strategy & Experimentation
Collaborate closely with teams owning demand gen, content, SEO, product marketing, events, and product to identify and execute initiatives that drive acquisition and signups.
Strategically run tests across marketing channels—social media, SEO, paid search, email, and content—to discover and capitalize on growth opportunities, iterating rapidly to drive signups.
2. Acquisition Funnel Optimization
Focus on optimizing the user journey from initial awareness through to sign-up, maximizing conversion rates across landing pages, sign-up flows, and campaigns.
Design, build, and scale growth loops that bring new users into our funnel and increase the reach and impact of acquisition programs targeting our ICP for the self-service tier.
3. Program & Channel Ownership
Own, design, and lead new acquisition programs with a strong emphasis on measurable, scaled impact for signups.
Work cross-functionally with Marketing, Product, Engineering, and Sales to execute initiatives that move KPIs forward, including funnel optimization, channel and program launches, and partnerships.
Manage marketing spend, planning, allocating, and optimizing budgets across high-ROI channels to ensure positive returns on all acquisition growth efforts.
4. Customer Insights & Segment Expertise
Become an expert on our target self-service segment, leveraging research to understand their needs, behaviors, and pain points.
Use these insights to inform acquisition strategies, improve onboarding and retention flows, and enhance customer engagement.
What you’ll bring to the table:
Minimum 5+ years of experience in a Growth Marketing role with proven success in executing acquisition strategies across a variety of growth marketing channels, leveraging scrappy and creative strategies
Experience in B2B SaaS, preferably in the dev tool space with a freemium subscription model context
A bias for action - you understand done is better than perfect and that we can always improve over time
Proven track record delivering tangible business outcomes
Interest in the intersection of security and developer experience
Communicate proactively and clearly, and would enjoy working in highly cross-functional, distributed growth teams
Experience using analytics tools for new data insights and validating the effectiveness of launched initiatives
Obsession with learning about the customer whether through interviews, feedback, support tickets, or social media to better understand their pain points and needs
Have no problem saying “I don’t know”
Preferred experience:
Proficiency in analytics tools (Posthog, SQL)
Experience working at a fully remote company
Experience with Marketo
Equity at an early-stage, fast-growing startup
Premium health insurance (medical, dental, vision)
Guilt Free Unlimited PTO - 3-week minimum strongly encouraged!

We've built a great product our customers love. Our churn is low, and active usage continues to rise. We just need to amplify our reach to educate the market that secrets management can be fast, secure, and affordable for teams and organizations of any size. And most importantly, we need to continue encouraging Developers to stop adhering to archaic insecure standards such as manually managing .env file formats.
Are you passionate about developer-focused products and ready to join an amazing team? Then we want to hear from you!
A final note - we highly encourage you to apply for this role, even if you don't feel entirely qualified, or entirely sure. You never know!
