Job Summary

We are seeking a Transaction Services Clerk to join our Vancouver team. This is a hybrid position.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Review submitted employee expenses

  • Entry of manual & off-cycle expense reports

  • Communicate with staff / managers as needed

  • Manage Employee Expenses email inbox

  • Meet all relevant deadlines for expense processing

  • Assist Employee Expense Supervisor

  • Review & process transactions on monthly credit card statements

  • Coordinate with card users to gather receipts + project numbers

  • Daily entry of transactions in bank accounts

  • Monitoring of AR inbox for remittance advices

  • Possibility of reaching out to clients +/or project accountants for payment info

  • Awareness & prioritization of month end deadlines

  • AP Invoice entry back-up

  • Keeps Finance team and other stakeholders advised of relevant information as appropriate

  • Knows when to escalate an issue

  • Understands the need for discretion and confidentiality

  • Assist Finance team with duties as required

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Previous A/P or Transaction Entry experience

  • Minimum of five years intermediate accounting experience

  • Excellent computer skills (must have strong MS Office skills)

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Knowledge of general accounting processes

  • Personal growth and development interest

  • Experience in Public Practice or a project-based environment considered an asset

  • Previous experience with Deltek Vision considered an asset

  • Experience with Canadian taxes (GST/HST) considered an asset
