Massage Therapist – PRN

Position Highlights:

  • Position: Massage Therapist

  • Location: Glenview, IL

  • Full Time/Part Time: Per Diem/Resource

  • Hours: Day shift. Flexible scheduling Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and/or Saturday

  • Required Travel: n/a

What you will do:

  • Performing therapeutic massages on patients in accordance with their individualized treatment plans, addressing specific health concerns and goals.

  • Conducting thorough assessments of patients' medical histories and current conditions to ensure safe and appropriate massage therapy interventions.

  • Collaborating with healthcare providers, including physicians, nurses, and physical therapists, to integrate massage therapy into patients' overall care plans.

  • Customizing massage techniques and pressure levels to meet the unique needs of each patient, providing a personalized and comfortable experience.

  • Maintaining accurate and confidential patient records, including treatment notes, progress reports, and documentation of any adverse reactions or patient concerns.

  • Educating patients on the benefits of massage therapy, potential outcomes, and self-care practices to enhance the effects of massage.

  • Adhering to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as state regulations governing massage therapy.

  • Staying informed about the latest developments and research in massage therapy and integrative medicine to provide evidence-based care.

  • Maintaining a clean and organized massage therapy workspace, ensuring all equipment and supplies are well maintained and sanitized.

  • Participating in regular training and professional development activities to enhance skills and knowledge relevant to massage therapy.

What you will need:

  • Education: Some college or equivalent training program is preferred

  • Certification:

    • State of Illinois licensure as a Massage Therapist required.

    • Certification in specialized massage modalities such as Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, and aromatherapy is preferred.

    • CPR Certification through the American Heart Association required.

  • Experience: 2+ years of experience as a Licensed Massage Therapist, required
