This job collaborates internally to influence the quality and effectiveness of risk management processes. It involves analyzing and assessing risks, providing informed recommendations for mitigation strategies, and engaging with stakeholders to communicate risk assessments and proposed solutions.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and assess risks to provide informed recommendations for mitigation strategies.
  • Work outside defined processes to determine appropriate actions in complex situations.
  • Serve as a subject matter resource for entry-level and developing colleagues on risk management practices and strategies
  • Engage with stakeholders to communicate risk assessments and proposed solutions.

Expected Qualifications:

  • 3+ years relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree OR Any equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Lead cross-functional efforts in playbook development, integrating legal, compliance, and risk requirements for specialized verticals; ensure processes support regulatory and business enablement priorities.​
  • Develop, maintain, and socialize playbooks for executive diligence, underwriting reviews, onboarding procedures, and ongoing monitoring in new and evolving verticals.​
  • Analyze business trends, sales pipeline, and merchant requirements to update playbooks and other sales enablement guides to ensure guidance reflects market, legal, and reputational risk factors.
  • Support Holistic Onboarding & Underwriting operational team with Seller Risk requests and questions via Query Tool and weekly office hour sessions with multiple regional teams.
  • Coordinate workforce plan forecasting for our Holistic Onboarding & Underwriting operational team by leading efforts to collect inputs from various teams and reviewing final output for executive leaders
  • Leverage existing operational and asset quality metrics to drive data-based decision making, incorporating metrics into daily discussions, presentations and business enablement materials
  • Support the implementation of AI-enabled diligence tools, merchant portal enhancements, and dynamic review systems, aligning with program standards and digital adoption requirements.​
  • Partner with Sales and Merchant Experience teams to support new merchant onboarding and portfolio expansion in higher-risk categories; provide training and guidance to ensure acceptance and compliance.​
  • Document decisions, findings, and processes to maintain clear audit trails and ensure continuous process improvement.​

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Direct experience developing business enablement playbooks, conducting diligence, and leading regulated risk assessments in a large financial institution.​
  • Exceptional written and oral communication; demonstrable experience presenting to executives, cross-functional partners and external vendors.
  • Strong project management, problem-solving, and influencing skills across multiple disciplines and geographies.​
  • Proven agility and independence in managing competing priorities, complex requirements, and time-sensitive deliverables in a dynamic environment.​
  • Experience implementing digital solutions, AI-enabled risk assessment systems, and process improvement initiatives.​

The base pay for this role will depend on where you work and the relevant experience and expertise you bring. The expected range of pay for this role by location is:

Omaha, Nebraska | ($84,500.00 - $121,000.00 Annually)

Additional Location(s) | Pay Range:

Austin, Texas | ($89,000.00 - $127,600.00 Annually) Scottsdale, Arizona | ($84,500.00 - $121,000.00 Annually)

Additional compensation for this role may include an annual performance bonus, equity, or other incentive compensation, as applicable.
