About the Role
Provide advanced technical pre-sales, implementation and project management support for achieving sales objectives, working in close collaboration with commercial managers. Demonstrate the technical value of SWIFT products and services to customers, identify solutions to their technology requirements and support their implementation. Manage the roll-out of new products/services/solutions from the technology and implementation perspective. To be the technical and product expertise within sales teams. Focus and dedication will be on the Payments Experience initiative
Key Responsibilities
- Perform product demonstrations. Demonstrate value of SWIFT technology solutions versus alternatives. Present SWIFT roadmaps at customer sites, working closely with sales. Produce and deliver high quality pre-sales presentations. Validate technical feasibility and estimates of the proposed solutions thereby guaranteeing solution sale. Define customer prototypes when necessary. Present SWIFT products and technology solutions at customer events and industry events.
- Meet with the customer to identify higher level needs and requirements and manage architecture/application solutions for large size/complexity/risk projects ensuring effectiveness in meeting customer's needs. Assist with technical responses to customer RFIs and RFPs. Validate technical feasibility and estimates of proposed solutions thereby guaranteeing solution sale. Maintain and develop advanced knowledge of architecture/design technologies, integration and future industry trends. Provide resiliency and security advice. Overcome objections of a technical nature. Being able to convert business process flows into a technical architecture leveraging all the SWIFT attributes, messaging, standards and interface software.
- Define business requirements into a Project Plan with full involvement of the project team. Analyse detail system factors: input/output requirements; information flow; technical requirements; resources needed and select the appropriate SWIFT products and services to build a customer proposal.
- Monitor, maintain and report to team, customers and project office on the project status on a continuous basis and for the duration of the project. Re-validation of the business requirements definitions of a project. Ensure the project stays on track by pro-actively controlling actual status of schedule, quality, resources versus plans and by taking corrective action for issues under his/her direct control. Review status of all regional projects on a regular basis, escalating all exceptions.
- Assist with the ordering, provisioning and software license procedures. Assist with preparation for installation and integration activities. Ensure a smooth handover to Customer services.
- Build and develop working relationships with customer technology management Meet customer on a regular basis for projects updates. Where applicable, support the Key Client Sales Manager on SWIFTNet technical issues; attend monthly Key Client update conference call meeting; participate in annual Key Client Review.
- Analyze customer escalated problems, develop and propose solutions to customer management. Validate technical feasibility and estimates of the proposed solutions, by working closely with internal divisions at senior levels, thereby guaranteeing operational success of the project.
- Represent SWIFT at SWIFT user groups, seminars and workshops.
- In line with team objectives, support regional teams by defining processes, transferring knowledge for the SWIFT platform as well as SWIFT Solutions.
