CLO Structurer, London

Citi are looking to hire an Collateralized Loan Obligation (CLO) Structurer to join the highly successful Spread Products business in London.

By joining Citi’s CLO business, you will be a key member of the desk focussing on arranging, structuring and distributing CLOs for asset managers in the EMEA region. The focus of your role will be structuring, distribution and syndication of EMEA New Issue CLOs, as well as working on deal documentation and ultimately being able to execute a deal from start to finish including the distribution/syndication of the transaction.

What you will do will be varied day to day, but the key drivers for the role are:

  • Running the CLO issuance process including modelling of CLO deal for both investor runs and rating agency analysis.
  • Leading discussions on legal documentation for new deals, and syndication and distribution process on each transaction.
  • Lead strong governance and controls through close partnerships with control functions such as Legal, Compliance, Market and Credit Risk, Audit, Finance to ensure appropriate governance and control infrastructure.
  • Obtain and maintain all registrations/licenses which are required for your role, within the appropriate timeframe.

What we will need from you:

  • To be considered for this role, you will need to have prior knowledge and experience in securitisation, with CLO experience preferred.
  • A history of building and maintaining relationships with various partners including traders, salespersons, bankers as well as clients.
  • An understanding of how to assess the risk/reward of transactions when making business decisions, demonstrating proper consideration for the firm’s reputation, its clients, and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
  • Strong analytical / modelling skills with high attention to detail.
  • Degree educated, ideally in Maths / Science / Engineering / Economics / other numerically based financial/economics based degree or law school
