Summary:
In this role, you will support a Vizient provider on the west coast assisting with category expertise in IT, physician preference items, hospital capital equipment, and general medical surgical products. You will conduct various analytic activities and conduct stakeholder discussions to generate strategic insight and identify opportunities to drive performance and quality improvements, implement solutions and deliver cost savings.
Responsibilities:
• Manage the competitive sourcing process and administration of final agreements. Reads, drafts, and understands contractual terms.
• Develop and execute negotiation strategies that minimize potential losses and maximize financial savings while improving operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with key stakeholders to determine all requirements necessary for inclusion in local or system level agreements.
• Develop identified requirements into Requests for Quotation and/or Requests for Proposal and reviews with stakeholder team for accuracy.
• Develop objective scoring tools to analyze RFP responses; ensure proper due diligence in analyzing supplier responses.
• Obtain the best value contractual terms and conditions for supplies, equipment, and services.
• Review the terms and conditions for all agreements under consideration and collaborate with Legal, Risk, and Compliance as appropriate to ensure Member Hospital requirements are met.
• Solve complex contract and proposal activities using multiple sources of information while responding to unplanned quick response requirements as they emerge.
• Lead/participate in all vendor Business Reviews; sets expectations that terms and conditions are being followed and all performance requirements are met.
Qualifications:
• Relevant degree preferred. Advanced degree in Healthcare Administration preferred.
• 7 or more years of relevant experience required.
• Knowledge of and experience in Purchased Services required. (i.e., contracting, implementation, hospital management, and/or hospital operations)
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze and interpret data, identify opportunities, develop actionable insights, and proficiently manage projects with a results-oriented mindset required.
• Strong communication and presentation skills tailored to various audiences, including C-Suite / Executive Audiences, internal / external stakeholders, clients, and end-users required.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret financial reports, legal contracts, and documents.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to think strategically and creatively to solve complex business challenges.
• Exceptional project management skills with the ability to define, plan and lead projects forward.
• Ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, high-pressure, and results-oriented environment.
• Willingness to travel.
Estimated Hiring Range:
At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $102,400.00 to $168,800.00.This position is also incentive eligible.
