About the Department

Our Insight and Analytics team works to uncover strategic insights that drive future growth and innovation at abrdn. We employ cutting-edge data analysis and visualisation techniques to provide actionable insights across the business, working collaboratively with other departments to optimise performance and customer satisfaction.

About the Role

The Insight Scientist is a highly skilled and experienced professional responsible for leveraging data and analytics to identify future trends and drive strategic planning. In this role, you will use advanced data analysis, modelling, and visualisation techniques to extract insights and provide actionable recommendations for future business growth. You will collaborate closely with cross-func

tional teams to design data collection processes, ensuring data quality and governance while delivering critical insights.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement statistical models and algorithms to predict future user behaviour, customer preferences, and market trends.

  • Conduct in-depth analysis on existing data to identify patterns, trends, and insights that inform business decisions and future planning.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement data collection processes, ensuring data quality and integrity.

  • Create and maintain advanced dashboards, reports, and visualisations to communicate trends and strategic insights to stakeholders.

  • Provide strategic recommendations based on data insights to optimise operational efficiency, enhance customer experience, and drive business growth.

About the Candidate

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

  • Proven experience in advanced data analysis, data modelling, and statistical analysis.

  • Proficiency in data analytics tools such as Excel, SQL, or Python.

  • Experience in data visualisation tools such as Tableau or Power BI.

  • Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
