In this vital role the Executive Compensation Senior Manager at Amgen will participate in the design, development, and implementation of executive compensation strategies and programs. You will consult on issues including providing guidance and support to internal clients on a variety of areas in the compensation area. You will partner and consult with key stakeholders, such as key business unit leaders and human resources leaders to recommend executive compensation program enhancements.
Assist in preparing materials for Executive leadership and/or the Compensation Committee of the Board of Directors
Assist the design of innovative and competitive equity programs that drive engagement and long-term commitment.
Conduct in-depth market benchmarking of executive pay and plan design, utilizing a variety of sources including published surveys and SEC filings. Stay abreast of the latest industry trends and practices.
Prepare qualitative and quantitative analytics to support development of cost-effective compensation programs, including proposals for program changes and utilization.
Partners and consults with key stakeholders (C-suite, key business unit, and human resources leaders) to recommend executive compensation program enhancements.
Partner with law on reviewing relevant disclosures (e.g., proxy) and managing new share authorization process.
Assist with due diligence and integrations for merger and acquisition activity.

Basic Qualifications:
Doctorate degree and 2 years of Executive Compensation experience
Master’s degree and 4 years of Executive Compensation experience
Bachelor’s degree and 6 years of Executive Compensation experience
Associate’s degree and 10 years of Executive Compensation experience
High school diploma / GED and 12 years of Executive Compensation experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, Economics or related field
Minimum 8 years of compensation experience, preferably with executive compensation consulting and corporate compensation experience within a fast-paced, global company.
Demonstrated experience in compensation analysis, trends and compensation best practices in a multi-disciplined environment.
Deep understanding of financial metrics and equity vehicles.
Strong consulting, communication, and presentation skills.
Exceptional attention to detail and precision in managing intricate calculations and data.
Demonstrated ability to proficiently handle multiple complex tasks, meet deadlines, and treat sensitive information with the utmost discretion and respect.
Agility in seamlessly transitioning between tasks, adeptly balancing competing priorities, and creatively overcoming challenges.
Deep analytical, pragmatic, and adaptable mindset, with the ability to evaluate complex data and make recommendations.
Advanced Excel skills
Familiarity with Workday preferred

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
