Job Description

Job Summary

Stewart Title is currently in search of a Corporate Paralegal with public company experience. Key responsibilities in this highly visible role include assisting with all aspects of corporate governance, including providing support for board, committee and shareholder meetings (including drafting agendas, presentations, and managing collation and distribution of meeting materials), and drafting director and shareholder consents, meeting minutes, secretary of state filings and annual reports for the Company’s subsidiaries. Responsibilities also include maintaining minute books and corporate records of the Company and its subsidiaries. This role offers a hybrid schedule, blending remote and in-office work.


Job Responsibilities

  • Certified Paralegal who performs substantive legal work under the guidance and supervision of an attorney
  • Assists attorneys by analyzing and preparing legal documents, performing routine legal research and compiling data from such references
  • Understands how own team integrates with related teams to accomplish objectives
  • Impacts the quality, timeliness and effectiveness of the team through own work
  • Recognizes and solves atypical problems that occur infrequently
  • Evaluates and selects solutions from existing precedents or procedures
  • Communicates and explains complex information, including interdependencies within the team and others
  • Works under limited supervision and may use discretion to modify work practices and processes to achieve results or improve efficiency
  • Individual contributor acting as a resource for less experienced team members; does not have supervisory responsibilities
  • Performs all other duties as assigned by management


Education

  • High school diploma required; Bachelor’s and/or Paralegal Certificate preferred


Experience

  • Typically requires 5+ years of related work experience
