We are seeking a talented individual to join our Claims team at Marsh McLennan. This role will be based in Mumbai. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
We will count on you to:
Lead in-depth loss assessments that ensure accurate, data-driven claim evaluations for faster and more effective resolutions.
Act as a second-line advocate, capable of progressing large, complex claims with significantly less direct oversight from US-based advocates.
Provide strategic loss insights to the Operations team, enabling timely and informed client communications.
Own compliance workflows including e-filing, correspondence tracking, and adherence to carrier and regulatory requirements.
Proactively manage dormant files (180+ days without response), reviving stalled claims through focused follow-ups.
Automate inefficiencies by simplifying and streamlining repetitive tasks to reclaim time for higher-impact strategic work.
Create and maintain a defense attorney reference database, organized by jurisdiction to support legal referrals and strategic claim planning.
Leverage data lakes and reporting tools to generate performance dashboards, KPIs, and insights for ongoing monitoring and continuous improvement
Conduct research on relevant topics (e.g., market trends, legal updates, risk insights) and present findings in a clear, actionable format to support strategic decisions.
Create compelling, insight-driven PowerPoint presentations for both internal stakeholders and external client discussions.
Develop executive-level summary reports with actionable insights for strategic claim reviews and decision-making.
Use business acumen and market awareness to navigate complex claims, guide strategy, and respond effectively in challenging scenarios.
Continuously enhance the Claim Advocacy model, bringing innovation and strategic thinking to evolve our value proposition.
Design and manage stakeholder feedback surveys, gathering insights to improve advocacy services and stakeholder satisfaction.
What you need to have:
6-8 years of experience in the General Insurance domain across different types of claims, claims lifecycle and claim data.
Graduate or master’s in commerce or business administration or any equivalent education programme in Insurance domain.
MS Office proficiency (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Strong Excel proficiency.
Strong verbal and written communication skills - excellent email writing skills.
Must be comfortable with working on new age data management tools
