As a Sr. Analyst supporting North America reporting, you will be trusted to collaborate with Financial Operations departments and both Franchises (Vision Care and Surgical) to improve reporting capabilities by employing advanced analytics tools. The ideal candidate will be responsible for promoting operational excellence through advanced analytics, data visualization, and process improvement, while closely collaborating with cross-functional teams to convert intricate data sets into actionable reports and visualizations. In this role, a typical day will include:

• Designing and developing sophisticated reports and visualizations using AWS, BI, Tableau, and Alteryx to support operational decision-making.
• Creating and maintaining dashboards and reports that provide critical business insights to team members.
• Collaborating with IT and business teams to integrate new data sources and ensure data accuracy and completeness.
• Developing and automating workflows in Alteryx for data preparation, blending, and analytics.
• Proactively recognizing opportunities to automate current processes
• Supporting in the implementation of new applications / systems focused on optimizing the resources.
• Maintaining a constant search for knowledge, new tools and technologies; proposing improvement or innovation ideas.
• Ad-hoc projects as the business requires

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO ALCON:

• Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +10 yrs; Assoc.+6 yrs; M.S.+0 yrs)
• The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English
• 2 Years of Relevant Experience
• Advanced proficiency in Tableau and Alteryx; experience with SQL, Python, or other data analysis tools is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Innately curious and possesses a solid ability to think creatively and develop new solutions.
• Understanding of data visualization best practices.
• Demonstrates complex problem resolution proficiency and the ability to identify/implement process and system enhancements.
