Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:

  • The accountant 1 will analyze and ensure the correct execution of the activities of the area and will support in the control of the activities related to the accounting records of its area for the preparation of reports, in order to guarantee the reliability and availability of the information according to accounting principles, financial and legal standards based on Shared Services procedures.

Key Responsibilities and General Accountabilities:

  • Processing of vendor invoices, credit and debit notes, various liabilities, advance payments to suppliers and employees, expenses reports, etc.
  • Application of collections, compensations, payments to suppliers, payment of advances, attention to suppliers, accounting records of banking operations, creation, and maintenance of master data of suppliers and customers, etc.
  • Reconciliation, analysis and management of open balance sheet items and P&L, IFRS9, IFRS16 provisions, bank reconciliations, intercompany reconciliation, GR/IR analysis, closing schedule, etc.
  • Accounting closing activities, revaluation of foreign currency, execution of closing processes, opening, and closing of periods, management of fixed assets, execution of all accounting records, etc.
  • Any other task requested by his direct superior and that is related to the general objectives of the position or with the SSC (for example: reporting, projects, cross-area support)
  • Comply with corporate internal controls, Compliance guidelines, and corporate Code of Conduct and values.
  • Timely take trainings as requested by the Company.
  • Comply with procedures defined by the Company.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge
    • Accountant, Auditor Student or Graduate career (business administration, management control, or related careers).
    • 0-1 year of professional experience
    • Desirable experience in Shared Service Center
  • Skills 
    • Fluent Spanish - English language (Desirable)
    • Accounting know-how (60% Test SSC)
    • Desirable knowledge of P2P, O2C, TRE, FA, GL, depending on the process to which he/she will apply.  
  • IT Technical skills:
    • MS Excel (60% Test SSC)
    • SAP: Basic
  • Additional criteria:
    • Availability and time flexibility to meet their deliverables within the deadlines defined by the company, in line with customers’ working hours, and in case of special requirements (for example: overtime, holidays, weekends).
