No one likes dealing with errors. Error Tracking reduces noise by identifying errors that matter and equip developers to resolve them as fast as possible by leveraging the Datadog platform. As Engineering Manager for the Error Tracking team, you'll join a fast growing product area. You will support scaling the team, define our technical vision and help shape the product roadmap.

Your team will lead the charge on multiple technical challenges such as aggregating heterogeneous sources into a common product, surfacing the right errors to users and providing them with the best investigation and resolution workflows so that our customers can focus on delivering value rather than spend time fixing issues.

At Datadog, we place value in our office culture - the relationships that it builds, the creativity it brings to the table, and the collaboration of being together. We operate as a hybrid workplace to ensure our employees can create a work-life harmony that best fits them.

What You’ll Do:

  • Manage and grow the Error Tracking , directly managing 6 engineers (frontend and backend)

  • Work with platform and product teams across Datadog to ensure that Error Tracking is integrated in the best possible way with the rest of the Datadog ecosystem.

  • Create a strong team culture aligned with our engineering standards and our customer focus

  • Participate in hands-on work: Code reviews, design reviews and some coding

Who You Are:

  • A Software Engineer at heart with a previous experience leading software engineering teams, as a tech lead or people manager

  • Excellent leader with interpersonal skills, and the ability to build and lead high-performing teams

  • You have an entrepreneurial mindset and are very product-oriented - you like solving problems and providing value to end users

  • You have a track record of delivering high-quality software products on schedule and collaborating closely with product partners.

  • Strong technician, particularly with Go, Java or SQL, who is interested in remaining a hands-on leader

Datadog values people from all walks of life. We understand not everyone will meet all the above qualifications on day one. That's okay. If you’re passionate about technology and want to grow your skills, we encourage you to apply.

Benefits and Growth:

  • New hire stock equity (RSUs) and employee stock purchase plan (ESPP)

  • Continuous professional development, product training, and career pathing

  • Intradepartmental mentor and buddy program for in-house networking

  • An inclusive company culture, ability to join our Community Guilds (Datadog employee resource groups)

  • Access to Inclusion Talks, our Internal panel discussions

  • Free, global mental health benefits for employees and dependents age 6+

  • Competitive global benefits

Benefits and Growth listed above may vary based on the country of your employment and the nature of your employment with Datadog.
