Job Description

Position Title: Night Manager
Department: Property Management

Position Summary

The Night Manager is responsible for overseeing and maintaining comprehensive operations across the entire Cyber City complex during night and evening shifts. This critical role ensures seamless technical, soft service, and security operations from 3:00 PM to 12:00 AM and during night shifts, maintaining the highest standards of building performance, tenant safety, and service delivery. The position requires strong leadership capabilities to manage multiple operational disciplines and coordinate emergency response procedures across the campus.

Key Accountabilities

Operations Management

  • Oversee all night and evening operations across Cyber City complex ensuring continuity of technical, soft service, and security functions
  • Monitor building management systems, HVAC operations, and critical infrastructure during off-hours
  • Coordinate with day shift management to ensure smooth operational handovers and issue resolution
  • Maintain detailed shift logs and incident reports for management review

Technical Operations Oversight

  • Monitor and manage building automation systems, electrical systems, and mechanical equipment
  • Coordinate with technical teams for preventive maintenance activities during off-hours
  • Respond to technical emergencies and system alarms, escalating as appropriate
  • Ensure proper functioning of elevators, lighting, HVAC, and other critical building systems
  • Oversee contractor activities and technical work performed during evening/night hours

Soft Services Management

  • Supervise housekeeping and cleaning operations across the campus
  • Ensure proper execution of night cleaning schedules and quality standards
  • Coordinate waste management, restroom maintenance, and common area upkeep
  • Monitor supply levels and coordinate replenishment activities
  • Address tenant service requests and facility-related issues promptly

Security Operations Coordination

  • Work closely with security teams to maintain campus safety and access control
  • Monitor security systems, CCTV networks, and access control systems
  • Coordinate visitor management and after-hours access procedures
  • Respond to security incidents and emergency situations following established protocols
  • Ensure compliance with safety and security policies across all operations

Emergency Response & Safety

  • Serve as primary on-site management contact during evening and night shifts
  • Coordinate emergency response procedures and crisis management protocols
  • Liaise with emergency services, law enforcement, and emergency responders as needed
  • Conduct safety inspections and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Manage evacuation procedures and emergency communication systems

Stakeholder Communication

  • Maintain regular communication with Property Management team and senior leadership
  • Coordinate with tenant representatives for after-hours service needs
  • Interface with vendors, contractors, and service providers during off-hours operations
  • Prepare comprehensive shift reports and operational updates for day management team

Required Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Facilities Management, or related field preferred
  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in property management, facilities operations, or building management
  • Previous experience in night shift operations and emergency management
  • Experience managing technical systems and building operations in commercial real estate
  • Background in coordinating multiple operational disciplines (technical, security, facilities)

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong leadership and decision-making abilities under pressure
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in building management systems and technical operations
  • Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and mechanical building systems
  • Understanding of security systems and emergency response procedures
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and property management software
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision during off-hours

Certifications (Preferred)

  • Building Operating Management certification (BOMI)
  • Certified Facility Manager (CFM)
  • OSHA safety certifications
  • Emergency response and first aid training
  • Technical certifications related to building systems

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to work night shifts (including 3:00 PM to 12:00 AM and overnight hours)
  • Physical capability to conduct building inspections and respond to emergencies
  • Ability to climb stairs, walk extensive distances, and access mechanical areas
  • Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as operational needs require

Working Conditions

  • Evening shift: 3:00 PM to 12:00 AM and rotating night shift schedules
  • Campus-based role requiring movement across multiple buildings within Cyber City complex
  • 24/7 on-call availability for emergency situations
  • Indoor/outdoor work environment with exposure to mechanical rooms and technical areas
  • High-pressure environment requiring quick decision-making and problem resolution

Shift Schedule

  • Primary shift: 3:00 PM to 12:00 AM (Evening Operations)
  • Rotating night shifts as required for continuous coverage
  • Weekend and holiday coverage as per operational requirements
  • On-call responsibilities for emergency situations outside regular shift hours
