Position Summary
The Assembler for Nidec Industrial Solutions – Americas, will perform various tasks while assembling, potting and testing product. These tasks will include mechanical assembly, reading drawings, and testing the assembly. This position requires attention to detail, focus on quality, and the ability to work efficiently.
This position is responsible for maintaining process control through the implementation of all written processes and procedures pertaining to the task being performed. This process control will be demonstrated in the quality, on-time-delivery, and performance of the product being assembled.
Essential Job Functions
Ability to follow processes while maintaining process control.
Capable of reading drawings
Use of hand tools, including power tools
Must be able to work effectively in a team environment and independently
Complete final test of the finished product by following standard test procedure and adhering to one-piece flow
Collect and input data into various systems, as required
Cross-train within the production cell to learn additional assembly, kitting and packaging operations
Maintain quality standards
Mechanical assembly of company products using hand and power tools
Knowledge of various wire types and gages
Maintain work area and equipment in accordance with 6S standards
Adhere to company safety rules and regulations
Education/License Requirements
Adhere to company safety rules and regulations
Experience Requirements
Prior assembly experience
Experience reading assembly drawings
Prior experience in electronic and electro-mechanical assembly and sub-assemblies
Wiring, soldering experience is not required, however, it is preferred
