Position Summary: 
The Marketing and Media specialist is responsible for communicating the Hauenstein Center’s mission and activities through high-quality, timely, and compelling publications and messaging. Their work includes designing, scheduling, and ordering print publications, maintaining the Hauenstein Center’s website, managing the center’s social media footprint, and coordinating photography and videography for events. The successful candidate will possess a variety of marketing, design, and technology/media skills, as well as a demonstrated track record of creativity, organization, initiative, and the willingness to work as an integral member of a team.

Salary & Benefits:

$45,000 - $50,000, commensurate with experience.

Limited benefits package including medical, life insurance, wellness resources and tuition waiver effective on date of hire.

Primary Duties:

Develop and implement Hauenstein Center annual marketing strategy. Design and produce the Hauenstein Center’s printed promotional materials. Manage the edit process for Hauenstein Center promotional materials, printed and digital. Create and facilitate marketing campaigns through direct mail, social media, web advertisements, and physical promotional items such as flyers or banners to promote attendance and/or awareness of Hauenstein Center events and initiatives. Coordinate and oversee the photography, videography, and A/V needs of Hauenstein Center events. Edit and publish Hauenstein Center video and photo content. Manage the Hauenstein Center’s website, ensuring content is up to date, resolving errors and broken links, updating layout and aesthetics. Develop strategy and manage the Hauenstein Center’s social media presence, including LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and other platforms. Create, edit, and publish the Hauenstein Center’s podcast. Assist with the maintenance of the Hauenstein Center mailing list. Coordinate with internal and external organizations to outsource mailing, design, videography, photography, or other tasks and services as necessary. Supports all Hauenstein Center events, including some evenings and weekends. Performs other duties as required/assigned by manager.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Advertising, Film & Video, Photography, Graphic Design, Computer Science, Communications, or related field from a four-year college or university.

  • Minimum of 2 years of related work experience.

  • Marketing or professional social media experience.

  • Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud, specifically Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Premiere, and Audition.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Familiarity with HTML and CMS.

  • Typing and spelling competency with grammar and proofreading skills.

  • Strong verbal and written communications.

  • Demonstrated experience successfully providing quality customer service.

  • Demonstrated experience successfully working independently, organizing own work, and coordinating work activities of others.

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

  • Demonstrated history of maintaining satisfactory work performance and attendance record.

  • Demonstrated experience successfully maintaining positive intercultural and interpersonal relations ships.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Demonstrated experience using Zoom Webinar.

  • Demonstrated experience in video editing/production.

  • Demonstrated experience in creating, hosting, editing, and publishing podcasts.

Working Conditions:

Normal office environment. Some travel may be required.
