Continued Customer Satisfaction through the delivery of P1 development projects on time and within agreed resource and budget and quality criteria.

 

Responsibilities

 

General

 
  • Responsible for overall management of Vision R&D Operations for the Product Line.

  • Responsible for the P1 project delivery of all Vision PL projects across all regions.

  • Ensure each Vision Operation entity are performing in terms of Resource and Budget Management.

  • Maximize profitability across DVS P1 Projects (D&D and BOMs to CAA or better)

  • Owner of MTP2 Input for P1 and P1 Target projects.

 

Resources and budget management 

 
  • Agree with the PL R&D Director MTP2 and follow budgets and resources related to his project portfolio 

  • Review and manage resources dedicated to Operations across the PL.

  • Deliver on quarterly basis an 18 month load forecast for all operations entities.

  • Implement competence improvement plans across operations entities

  • Develop and implement efficiency improvement plans 

  • Management of the Vision Operations Site support teams including people management, status reporting, interaction with other functions within relevant Site (HR, IS, Facilities, Health & Safety)

  • N+1 & N+2 line management for reports including: Travel authorization, holiday approval, absence recording, annual appraisal, objective setting & training need analysis completion. 

  • Support recruitment of new hires for the continued development of the assigned R&D Operations in line with Vision R&D strategic direction

 

Product development for Customer Projects

 
  • Support Business Development/RFQ Response as requested by Vision R&D management 

  • Track and publish customer projects status for all Vision operations

  • Implement Standardization strategy, escalate Lessons Learned to improve the Standards

  • In charge of the robust design in line with Metier standards and Industrial network for manufacturability

  • Review and challenge Destandardization requests before release

  • Implement methodologies  and Tools  necessary to state of the art developments

  • Manage development according to quality, cost and timing requirements by implementing effective DRs, TMMs and TCs

 

Customer interface and TDP contribution

 
  • Based on the highlights of the project scope, contribute to the construction of the TDP(s) around components, products, systems, integrating customer trends and drivers for all Vision Operations

  • Manage the customer intimacy with regular meetings

  • Support the technical communications with the customers across all Operation entities.                  

Education/Training

 
  • Engineering/Project Management Degree or equivalent 

  • 10 to 15 year experience in R&D development activities

 

Professional Experience

 
  • Minimum 10-15 years People Management Experience

  • Track record of successful experience as a Product Development Manager 

  • Proven ability to deliver projects on time and within budget

  • Excellent team player with proven leadership ability

  • Excellent people management skills  

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Confident, articulate, self motivated, determined, energetic

  • Experience in dealing in an international Environment

  • Positive Strategic outlook

  • Proven ability to be able to react/respond quickly to issues and be able to ‘think on your feet’ – agility
