Please Note:  Work location for this role is FLEXIBLE! This position allows 100% remote work from home or allows work to be performed in any of our major office locations with a hybrid schedule. Must be able to work Eastern Time Zone hours.

The Contributions You'll Make:

  • Prepare, compile and review journal entries and account reconciliations in accordance of company policies, procedures and controls.

  • Interact, communicate and maintain liaison with other functional departments to ensure the quality, accuracy and completeness of the financial reporting disclosures under US GAAP basis, Management basis and Statutory basis of accounting.

  • Develop and utilize various analytical reports and procedures to assist with the understanding and validation of ledger balances.

  • Ability to lead and oversee the interactions between lower level team members (including offshore resources) and functional areas.

  • Lead manage and coordinate the calendar for assigned deliverables to ensure the timeliness and accurate delivery of financial information including analyzing and reporting of financial activities.

  • Interact with internal and external auditors as needed.

  • Recommend process improvements and lead problem solving sessions and provides functional advice to less experience analysts.

  • Lead various projects as assigned including the process improvement initiatives related to the financial close including the implementation of new or expanding the usage of certain existing financial reporting tools and other improvement initiatives.

  • Understand the functionality of financial reporting systems and applications.

  • Contribute as key team member that meet ultimate objectives of the team, department and organization.

Minimum Knowledge & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field

  • 5+ years of corporate accounting experience

Preferred Knowledge & Experience:

  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and still meet required deadlines

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively work with team and other departments

  • A self-starter, detail oriented, self-motivated, self-disciplined and performance driven team player

  • Strong interpersonal skills, including ability to operate in multi-task and deadline driven environment

  • Experience with Oracle software is a plus.

  • Strong knowledge of software applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Compensation Pay Disclosure:

Voya is committed to pay that’s fair and equitable, which means comparable pay for comparable roles and responsibilities.

The below annual base salary range reflects the expected hiring range(s) for this position in the location(s) listed. In addition to base salary, Voya offers incentive opportunities (i.e., annual cash incentives, sales incentives, and/or long-term incentives) based on the role to reward the achievement of annual performance objectives. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Voya Financial is willing to pay at the time of this posting.

Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted salary range based upon the candidate’s geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
