Weiss Asset Management (WAM), a Boston-based investment firm, is seeking an Operations Systems Manager to join our operations team. The ideal candidate will have middle or back-office experience, preferably at an asset manager, with a focus on Security Master. Familiarity with asset management systems including risk, accounting, and middle and back office functions is essential. A successful candidate will have strong communication skills and the ability to interact with both external and internal parties effectively.

SQL skills are required, Arcesium and proprietary asset management systems familiarity is preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and implementation of the firm's security structure within the Arcesium/FlexTrade framework, ensuring seamless integration across all business units, workflows, and reporting functions.

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders in operations, accounting, risk, and compliance to gather and document requirements for new features and enhancements, analyze workflows, and drive consensus for sign-off on solutions.

  • Create and maintain detailed documentation of business requirements and workflows, manage feature development queues with vendors, and communicate progress and updates to key stakeholders.

  • Communicate urgent issues, feature requests, and bug reports to primary vendors, including Arcesium, Osttra, DTCC, and FlexTrade.
