Job Description

Accountabilities

Ensure supply leveraging the service level agreements and adhere to a cost-effective European distribution strategy.
Execute with a strong focus on cold chain management and timely and correct transportation of Amgen shipments.
Establish and maintain an external and internal network enabling EU Supply Chain to advance on priorities and key initiatives.
Apply Continuous improvement principles while designing, implementing and sustaining distribution solutions with focus on cold chain
Implement best in class solution for supply chain partner management.

Bulgaria Warehouse-specific accountabilities

Ensure Amgen Bulgaria Warehouse compliance with local and European regulations
Act as RP back-up in case of RP absence

Responsibilities

Ensure supply, meet service levels and stay within budget in a GDP compliant way.
Support the implementation of cold chain solutions in the Amgen Supply chain
Perform regular performance and business reviews with supply chain partners on current business, escalations, reporting and improvements.
Support internal stakeholders in escalating issues to supply chain partners by maintaining excellent relationships with 3rd parties on appropriate management level.
Maintain and manage agreements with supply chain partners.
Showcase continuous improvement mindset to identify savings and other efficiency opportunities and drive results to finish line while improving quality, performance and GDP compliance.
Assess implications of emerging trends or country legislation changes that may affect current distribution solution and cold chain practices
Build internal network within affiliates and corporate functions and participate in projects to achieve results in line with EU Supply Chain priorities and key initiatives.
Plan, build and manage distribution lanes for the region/countries
Deliver on project assigned responsibilities.

Bulgaria Warehouse - specific responsibilities

Coordinate and manage day to day operations
Owns and coordinates all operational warehouse tasks and processes (e.g.: receiving, storage, inventory accuracy, etc.).
Own all maintenance and facility processes and associated contracts.
Observe the health and safety regulations and the fire safety rules.

RP back up responsibilities

Know and adhere to the requirements of EU GDP Guidelines, the Law on the medicinal products, Regulation 39 of the MoH and all other applicable regulations.
Understand the requirement of annual submission to the BDA information about the medicinal products sold over the preceding year
Ensure all necessary checks are carried out to authorize medicinal products for sale
Ensure that customers are authorized to receive medicinal products
Manage authorised activities to ensure operations do not compromise the quality of medicines and can demonstrate compliance with GDP
Ensure relevant customer complaints are dealt with effectively, informing the manufacturer and/or marketing authorisation holder of any product quality/product defect issues
Coordinate and execute recall operations for medicinal products
Co-operate with marketing authorisation holder and national competent authorities in the event of recalls

Authority

Works under minimal direction. Work is guided by operational and project objectives.
Manages multiple assignments and processes independently and concurrently.
Project authority is defined in the project scope. Position has decision authority within budget, timeline and resource constraints.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor degree or equivalent related to Supply Chain/Logistics, Change Management or Industrial Engineering
3+ years experience in the logistics or pharmaceutical industry
Solid experience in project management across departments and geographies
Experience managing suppliers and improving processes
Fluent in English, both in verbal and written communication
Strong analytical skills (incl. MS Excel) and ability to distill insights

Preferred Requirements

GxP knowledge
Recognized Pharmacist qualification
Supply chain, cold chain and warehousing expertise
Knowledge of Operational Excellence tools, six sigma, FMEA.
Experience SAP
Experience setting up service level agreements
Good technical writing skills
Project Management certification
APICS CSCP or CPIM certification

Other:

Willing to travel up to 15% of time
