About the Role

Responsible in supervising the Company’s Financial Controls by managing and completing the Internal Control over Financial Reporting (“ICFR”), Balance Sheet Reconciliations (“BSR”), Write-Off/Back, Financial Statement Certification (“FS Cert”) and assist with financial control related reports in accordance with company’s policies and guidelines

Main Responsibilities:

ICFR

  • Work with process owners in maintaining up-to-date Process Narrative, Risk Control Matrix, and Control Failure Risk Assessment.
  • Analyze and identify potential risk areas and support process owners in executing control implementations and solutions.
  • Responsible to review the quality, accuracy and the standard of the FCSA checklist submitted by process owners.
  • Support process owners to address identified control deficiency, if any, by understanding the controls and process and working with External and Internal Auditor, Enterprise Risk Management and Compliance departments to help close or mitigate the deficiency.
  • BSR

  • Ensure timely submission of Balance Sheet Reconciliation reports.
  • Ensure BSR gross and net exposure is within KPI set by management.
  • Close monitoring and follow-up with account owners to ensure exposures accounts are fully addressed or mitigated
  • Proactively identify and improve the quality of subledger and reduce the number of exposure accounts
  • Write Off and Impairment Assessment

  • Responsible to review the quality and completeness of the proposal submitted by business users and seeks approval from Finance Director
  • Consolidate approved proposal and summarize it for board paper submission and management insight on the process or control gaps.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A recognized Degree in Accounting or Professional Accountancy Qualification with minimum 3-5 years working experience in audit or accounting.
  • Able to communicate effectively, possess good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Able to work independently and deliver expected results accordingly
  • A good team player and able to work with minimum supervision.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and SAP
