Overview:

Socure is looking for a Manager of Accounting to be a key member of the accounting team. A qualified candidate will be an experienced professional, with the expectation that this individual will have the ability to coach, mentor, and manage a team while also being very hands-on with day-to-day accounting operations. 

Responsibilities: 

• Manage all accounting operations for Socure including maintaining the General Ledger, Procure to Pay, Payroll, and statutory to GAAP adjustments processes

• Prepare and publish timely and accurate financial statements including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements

• Responsible for month-end and year-end close process

• Prepare necessary reports for government and regulatory agencies/statutory processes

• Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings

• Assist with technical accounting areas (e.g., software capitalization)

• Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting

• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls

• Ensure compliance with internal financial and accounting policies and procedures for assigned entity

• Enhance financial policies and procedures to maintain effective internal controls  ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards

• Liaise with external auditors to complete timely financial audits

• Ensure effective cash management together with global treasury

• Review contracts and agreements 

Qualifications: 

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Accounting required, CPA/CMA preferred

• 5+ years of related experience required (SaaS industry preferred)

• Experience in US GAAP, USA based company would have definite advantage

• Excellent interpersonal skills

• Administrative, organizational, and communication skills

• Must be able to operate in a fast-paced entrepreneurial work environment

• Advanced abilities with data analysis and proficiency in accounting software (e.g., NetSuite) 

• Experienced with other financial systems (e.g., Procure to Pay platforms)

• Strong attention to detail and compliance-oriented

• Ability to work hours in order to collaborate with team in the United States
