The pay range is $69,000.00 - $124,200.00

As a Senior Site Merchandiser on the Digital Marketing Strategy & Experience team, you will elevate Target’s beloved in-store experience to the digital space, driving top-of-funnel engagement across Target.com and the Target app. You’ll develop and execute guest engagement strategies that optimize digital performance, improve conversion, and deliver seamless, joyful shopping experiences.  You will bring a strategic, innovative mind-set to all that you do.

 You will serve as a consumer obsessed digital marketer delivering engaging top of funnel experiences for key enterprise initiatives (this role will focus mainly on the Gifting key initiative.) The role requires a strategic digital marketing and merchandising mindset, business acumen, reporting & analytical skills, and creative sensibility.


The scope of your role includes:

Site Experience Strategy Building: Develop and implement site merchandising experience & traffic driving strategies that drive guest engagement and bring marketing campaigns + business priorities to life. Translate internal and external insights into actionable plans that enhance conversion and optimize the guest journey. Tactics include, but are not limited to: experience item curation & management, traffic optimization, navigation, facets, sort logic, internal search optimization, cross-sell/up-sell, item data strategy, and photography.

Content Strategy & Execution: Plan connected, engaging site content partnering with Category Site Merchandising, Marketing, etc. to ensure enterprise alignment. Provide strategic input to creative teams, ensuring content is both brand-right and performance-driven. Provide strategic direction to broader Site Merch team. Remain flexible and drive change in-season in reaction to business, guest, and competition.

Analytics & Insights: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) across devices and platforms, guest behavior, and market trends. Use these insights to refine strategies, influence cross-functional teams, and inform business decisions. Provide routine reporting on performance metrics, offering deep insights for continued optimization. 

Cross-Functional Leadership: Establish strong partnerships across Digital, Marketing, and Merchandising teams to create cohesive, high-impact digital experiences and traffic driving strategies.

Innovation & Continuous Improvement: Continuously identify opportunities for innovation in merchandising, technology, and processes. Proactively drive progress, improvement, and advancement to enhance guest experiences (i.e. personalization tactics). 

Results & Financial Accountability: Maintain a strong sense of accountability for delivering financial results, ensuring strategies drive topline sales, profitability, and guest engagement

About you:
• Four-year degree or equivalent experience
• 4+ years of e-commerce experience
• Business acumen with an entrepreneurial, revenue-generating mindset
• Must have both strong technical acumen and a creative sensibility
• Understanding of broader e-commerce trends and innovations
• Demonstrated experience in strategic and cross-functional influence, planning and execution
• High level of initiative and organization, with the ability to manage ambiguity, risk, uncertainty and changing directions
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills, including financial and business metrics in addition to site metrics
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present to varying levels of leadership

This position may be considered for a Remote or Hybrid (known internally at Target as "Flex for Your Day") work arrangement based on Target's needs.  A Remote work arrangement means the team member works full-time from home or an alternate location that's not a Target location, does not have a desk at a Target location and may travel to HQ up to 4 times a year.  A Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement means the team member's core role may be performed either remote or onsite at a Target location depending upon what your role, team and tasks require for that day. Work duties cannot be performed outside of the country of the primary work location, unless otherwise prescribed by Target.
