Salary range: c.£30,000 - £42,000 depending on experience

What will you be doing?
As our new M&E Process Operator Maintainer, you’ll be responsible for the successful delivery of operational Mechanical/Electrical maintenance tasks associated with operating an industrial Waste water treatment and Anaerobic Digestion facility. You feel comfortable carrying out Mechanical and Electrical maintenance on instruments, pumps, valves and operating a SCADA control system.
You’ll be a strong advocate of Alpheus’ and the site’s health & safety (H&S) policy and procedures, ensuring a focussed and positive attitude at all times. You’ll lead by example and live by the company commitment to the principle that all accidents and harm are preventable.
Working as part of a team, Monday – Friday between either 07:00am – 15:00 or 10:00 – 18:00 as a 8hr day staggered shift, remote on call cover including weekend, bank holiday on a 1 in 2 rota, you’ll carry out routine and non-routine mechanical and electrical inspections, repairs, fault finding and maintenance. You’ll also carry out routine plant operation duties including process monitoring, set-point review and adjustment, sampling, laboratory testing and other general duties. You’ll be a key contributor and advocate of the goals of excellence in site operational efficiency, maintenance and cleanliness.
A key aspect of this role and of the team will be to help improve existing plans and contribute to designing new full life asset maintenance plans by identifying improvement opportunities, and by providing concise and accurate information to the Service Delivery Manager.
You’ll pay particular attention to environmental permit requirements and revenue generating streams for our client, ensuring that Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and targets are achieved. In particular, focusing on the compliance of the treated effluent discharged to the environment and the optimal performance of the Anaerobic Digestion (AD) plant.
What do you need?
Our new M&E Process Operator Maintainer will be motivated to succeed and thrive in a team environment. An understanding of Waste water treatment and or Anaerobic Digestion processes is preferable, experience in electrical and mechanical maintenance is essential. With accompanying M&E qualifications will be an advantage. You’ll have an excellent attitude to Health and Safety and Process Safety.
