Project Role Description : Design, build and test web-based applications for various site components and edit site content. Document technical designs and specifications. Research and incorporate updated content for websites.

Role Purpose
Deliver complex AWS platform engineering work across infrastructure as code, CI/CD pipelines, platform upgrades, observability, and environment support. Focus on impactful platform improvements such as version upgrades, disaster recovery support, stability enhancements, and enabling shared services for application teams.

Key Responsibilities
Operate and maintain AWS platform components (compute, networking, storage, etc.).

Deliver infrastructure-as-code using Terraform for AWS workloads, including module enhancements and provider upgrades.

Build and improve CI/CD pipelines for environment creation, application delivery, and compliance checks.

Implement platform changes such as managed service upgrades, Terraform provider version uplifts, backup, patching, DR validation, identity improvements, and security policy updates.

Maintain CI/CD tool integrations and configurations (SonarQube, Snyk SAST/DAST) and administer shared engineering tools (Azure DevOps / Jenkins legacy).

Develop and enhance observability, logging, alerting, and operational dashboards (e.g., Splunk).

Support platform components used across domains, including shared AKS capabilities and common runtime services.

Provide operational support for development teams around environment issues and production investigations.

Contribute to cost optimization through tagging hygiene, rightsizing recommendations, and remediation actions.

Produce and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and implementation notes to support repeatable delivery.

Collaborate with Azure platform, SRE, and application teams to ensure cross-platform consistency.

Required Skills
4–7+ years as a cloud engineer with strong AWS experience.

Solid Terraform expertise for AWS infrastructure.

Proficiency in scripting (PowerShell, Bash, etc.).

Strong CI/CD exposure (ADO, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or equivalent).

Good understanding of core AWS services and patterns, including networking, IAM, compute, storage, and security fundamentals.

Experience upgrading cloud resources, refactoring infrastructure, and resolving platform issues.

Experience supporting production investigations and platform triage.
