We are currently seeking a Flight Operations Avionics Technician/ Electrician 3 based in San Antonio, Texas. In this position, you will perform maintenance operations on F-18 aircraft, F-18 aircraft equipment, F-18 engines, F-18 components, and systems in accordance with DOD, manufacturer, company, supplier and other directives in support of aircraft modification.
The F-18 E/F Flight Operation Avionics Technician/ Electrician will be responsible for Depot Level support of all of the aircraft’s Electrical systems. To include:
The successful candidate will demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of all Aircraft electrical and navigation systems aboard the aircraft and will be tasked to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems encountered. You may also be called upon to also provide technical advice, training, and troubleshooting assistance to the customer
You should be familiar with IETM’s and Wire Illuminator, as well as the NAMP 4790 and applicable NAVAIR technical publications. As required, you may be required to generate written reports for management in support of any contractual obligations.
Basic Qualifications:
Should have at least 4 years of F/A-18 E/F experience and familiarity with F/A-18 inspections, servicing, troubleshooting, removals, and repairs.
Must have comprehensive written and verbal English communication skills.
Must have the ability to work flexible schedules to accommodate customer maintenance requirements.
Must be able to clearly document maintenance and repair actions, equipment status tags, logs, parts requests, etc.
Must be able to perform assigned duties while wearing required safety equipment.
Will be required to comply with all rules and regulations concerning health and safety, tool control, FOD control, and all training and certification requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong preference to candidates who have supported U.S. Navy F-18 squadrons on deployment.

Salary Range: $57,200.00 - $95,400.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
