This role will support the accounting activities centralized within the European Accounting Centre of Excellence based in Poland. Key activities include coordinating the regional close process across the different main regional hubs. Further activities include managing the accounting of specific General ledger accounts across all International legal entities and supporting the completion of statutory audits as well as accounting related projects.

You’ll spend time on the following:

• Review and approve Journals for International centralized processes.

• Maintaining and reconciling balance sheet and general ledger accounts .

• Ensure proper documentation, evidences for review and approval of all reconciliations for internal & external audits. 

• Support the team to manage transitioned functions in addition to encouraging ideas to improve and automate processes.

• Assisting with annual audit preparations .

• Liaise effectively other accounting teams and other stakeholders including tax, treasury, legal, finance, internal audit, HR and corporate accounting

• Effectively prioritize the activities of the team in order to meet internal deadlines.

• Ensure SOX compliance and standardization of key accounting processes.

• Performing other accounting duties and supporting junior staff as required or assigned

We’re excited about you if you have:

• Bachelor or equivalent degree in Finance/Accounting. 

• Minimum 1 year of experience in the same position in a corporate environment.

• Solid working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and strong financial analysis skills.

• Strong Excel skills. NetSuite knowledge is a plus

• Detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to work with little to no supervision and perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

• Flexible and willing to step outside his/her job description and lead projects and initiatives.

• Enthusiastic, adaptable, and see challenges as an opportunity to grow

• ACCA completion (or any parts of the exam passed) is a plus

• Ability to analyze financial data and prepare reports

• Big 4 experience is a plus
