What You’ll Get To Do:

As a CACI-SOAS TSOC Strategic Outreach Specialist (Engagements Planner), you will serve in the Special Operations Command Africa (SOCAF) J5 to support the development and execution of the Theater Special Operations Command’s (TSOC) military engagements with African and Western Partner nations, NATO Allies, and other international partners and organizations. Coordinate and ensure all engagements are in accordance with relevant Campaign and Engagement Plans at the TSOC and the Geographic Combatant Command (USAFRICOM).

More about the role:

  • Conduct outreach to and direct coordination with Western, International, and African Partner national SOCOMs, NATO SOF Command, European Union SOF, U.S. Africa Command, and U.S. Special Operations Command (SOCOM), and the interagency (Department of State / U.S. Agency for International Development), and other commands, units or institutions as required.
  • Conduct outreach to and direct coordination with U.S. and international academic institutions as required for major engagement platforms conducted or supported by the TSOC, such as but not limited to, the International SOF Africa Synchronization (ISAS) working group; Multilateral Planning Groups (MPG); SILENT WARRIOR Senior Leader Symposium; FLINTLOCK Senior Leader Discussions; Senior / Key Leader Engagements, and the SOCOM SOF Collaboration & Alignment Forum (SCAF).
  • Provide expertise in designing, developing, coordinating, executing, and sustaining a Theater Special Operations Command engagement program.
  • Coordinate visits by General/Flag Officers and SES civilians, and their foreign/NGO/IGO equivalents.
  • Other duties as required or directed in line with the requirements of this position. Work will be both Unclassified and Classified.
  • Travel anticipated 2-3 times per fiscal quarter with travel within Europe and to Africa. Trip duration is generally three to five days although it could be longer depending on specific work requirements.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Active TOP SECRET Clearance with eligibility for SCI
  • Bachelor's degree and 10 years of directly related military experience; OR 15 years of directly related military experience.
  • Prior experience working directly with foreign partners.

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • Prior SOF experience working in Africa or at the Theater Special Operations Command level.
  • Experience with joint doctrine, joint strategic planning, and the joint operational planning process.
  • Experience with DoD security cooperation planning and programming.
  • Experience working with USG interagency departments and agencies.
  • Experience working with high level engagements, conferences, travel, visas, security regulations.

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$82,100 - 172,400 USD
