Position Summary: (Overview of key purpose and accountability of the role)

This position will support the Head of Regulatory Reporting and Policy with an active role in the regulatory reporting deliverables across the UK footprint of TD Bank Group. This includes UK IFPR Investment Firm deliverables and UK CRR Credit Institution deliverables in the regulatory space.

The role will involve the production of an ICARA document for the UK IFPR Investment Firm and supporting in the production of Recovery Plan.

The requirement is to understand and support the entity in building towards compliance to the UK implementation of Basel 3.1 standards in the UK CRR Credit Institution. This role will also consist of the monitoring and understanding of regulatory change and how these are managed and applied for those applicable to TD in the UK.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Seasoned experience in the regulatory reporting space within an investment firm and/or credit institution.
  • Exposure to capital reporting, preferably within banking environment but at a minimum in an IFPR investment firm. Exposure to liquidity reporting, FINREP and Bank of England statistical reporting returns beneficial.
  • Supporting in the production of the ICARA and the Recovery Plan for the UK Subsidiaries.
  • Experience of regulatory interpretation and application to reporting process applicable to the entity.
  • Monitoring and management of regulatory change.

  • Excellent excel, word and power point skills to support the high-quality deliverables required.
  • Ability to work autonomously, managing a busy and varied workload and develop/improve processes where necessary.
  • Proven organisational and multi-tasking skills to be able to juggle competing priorities.
  • Knowledge of the financial services industry

  • The role will suit a highly motivated and ambitious individual with excellent technical and excel skills with a strong desire to learn and develop their career within the finance function in the Financial Services industry.

Risk Management Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for identifying and reporting Operational Risk Events in accordance with policy.
  • Responsible, along with all colleagues, to contribute in a positive way to TD's reputation and the management of Reputational Risk. Every employee is expected and required to follow ethical practices at all times, including compliance with applicable policies, legislation and regulations and support positive interactions with TD's stakeholders including clients, industry bodies, industry participants, public bodies, regulators and vendors.

You must ensure that you are fully aware of your management reporting lines and escalation procedures.

If you are a Manager/Supervisor you are also responsible for ongoing and effective supervision of the employees under your direction and ensure their adherence to regulatory requirements. You will promptly report to TD Management and Compliance any violation or possible violation of such regulatory requirements identified as part of your supervisory responsibilities.   

You must take reasonable steps to demonstrate that you exercise due skill, care and diligence in managing and/or delegating your responsibilities outlined, appropriately.

It is your responsibility to be fully aware of:

  • The scope of your management responsibilities.
  • The TD Policies and regulatory requirements pertaining to the business/activities you are managing.
  • The competence level of the staff, if any, reporting to you.
  • The control limits and your ability, if any, to delegate them within your business.
  • Demonstrate that you receive adequate and appropriate management reporting.
