The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
 

As a Global Transportation Manager, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

  • Developing and overseeing implementation of programs designed to improve cycle time, reduce quality discrepancies, and optimize cost throughout 3M’s global transportation network.
  • Focusing on customers with identification of improved service programs and speed and reliability across inbound and outbound logistics flows  
  • Implementing improvement programs aimed at optimizing the transportation networks within 3M across all modes of transport. 
  • Providing strategic insights on logistics capabilities and market realities to 3M’s Business Supply Chain stakeholders.
  • Working collaboratively across 3M supply chain entities to drive resiliency in 3M transportation models. 
  • Assisting 3M logistics leadership in driving strategic initiatives and critical KPIs that require 3rd Party Logistics Support
  • Providing strong analytical and project management skills to drive complex and cross-functional opportunities

Your Skills and Expertise 
 

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of Supply Chain or Logistics experience in a private, public, government or military environment

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in a transportation function for a manufacturing company
  • Experience leading complex and cross functional programs
  • Experience with SAP ERP Software
  • Ability to work on multiple cross functional projects with tight timelines
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills

Work location:

  • Hybrid Eligible (Job Duties allow for some remote work but require travel to 3M Center St. Paul at least 2 days per week)

Travel: May include up to 10% domestic/international

Relocation Assistance: May be authorized

Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).

Applicable to US Applicants Only:The expected compensation range for this position is $160,284 - $195,903, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position.
