About the team:

The Service Design and Transition Manager is part of a small team working across different regions and lines of business representing the interests of Clients, FIS Service Management and Operations teams to ensure that new or enhanced services are both designed appropriately and are fully supportable at the time of Go-Live.

What you will be doing:

Key Responsibilities:

As part of the Service Design and Transition team you will be responsible for contributing to the design of new products and managing the transition of new clients or services into operational support.

  • Assist with the Service Design of new or enhanced services, including defining processes, systems, resource, budget and supplier requirements

  • Complete an impact and risk assessment of new projects from an FIS Operations and Client perspective and ensure these are managed

  • Provide a comprehensive Service Transition plan enabling the programme to align their activities with the Service Acceptance Criteria for service readiness

  • Manage, track and control Service Transition activities through robust governance and Stage Gates to make sure that FIS Operational teams are able to support all new services

  • Ensuring all Service Management requirements for Go-Live are understood and delivered including Knowledge Transfer and Service Support Documentation

  • Ensure compliance with the Service Transition methodology and review so lessons learned from each transition are continuously incorporated

  • Build strong relationships with Clients, Suppliers and FIS stakeholders, attend relevant programme boards or steering groups

What you bring:

To be successful in this role you will demonstrate the following skills and experience:

  • A strong ITIL Service Design and/or Transition background with experience of Incident, Problem and Change Management preferably within the banking or finance sector. ITIL v4 Foundation qualified preferrable

  • Experience of ServiceNow and project methodologies such as Prince 2/Agile

  • Clear and concise communication skills, a strong negotiator with and great attention to detail

  • Excellent relationship building skills, able to successfully manage diverse and challenging stakeholders at a senior level

  • Experience of operating in a fast-paced business environment with an emphasis on positive change and adaptive working practices

  • Able to independently manage a complex workload, setting and meeting customer expectations with dates and documented actions

  • Significant experience of the full transition management life cycle, transitioning large scale projects covering multiple internal teams and multiple vendors, from development into support

  • Some flexibility to travel and occasionally work outside of UK office hours is required

  • Ability to speak another European language would be helpful but not essential
