Director, Data Risk Management
Department Overview :
Data Risk Management defines expectations and provides challenge on data management, governance, and risk mitigation activities in support of TD’s data strategy. Job Description :
This position will establish and continuously enhance the oversight of Data Risks for TDGF. The role will be responsible for providing guidance and oversight for the local entity, in alignment with TD Bank Group programs, policies, and standards and particularly processes that support articulation of the risk profile and trend.
This role will report into the VP Data Risk Management
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
Create and maintain Data Risk Management Frameworks and Policies for TDGF, including Risk Appetite measures Create and embed the Data Risk Management Roadmap for effective second line oversight, including the establishment of relevant metrics and key indicators Analyze and monitor emerging Data Risks and trends, providing insights and recommendations to senior management. Drive forward initiatives to build out compliance with Data Risk Management regulations, standards, and guidelines applicable to European banking institutions. Conduct comprehensive reviews of Data Risk assessments across the organization, providing effective challenge related to the identification of potential risks and opportunities. Apply a project delivery mindset to execute on various initiatives, including the EU Banking Licence application project, and various workstreams and program deliverables related to Data Risk Stay updated on Data Risk developments, regulations, and industry best practices and identify opportunities for continuous improvement. Support the development and delivery of Regulatory, Board, and Risk Reporting submission working with Operational Risk Management, committee secretaries, and senior leaders as required Conduct internal and external research projects Maintain a culture of risk management and control, supported by effective processes in alignment with risk appetite
