What you will do
Assists the Regional Finance Director and the Metro Market/Regional Management Teams in driving business results for mid-size markets. Responsible for the planning and control of financial activities consistent with long-term business objectives. Provides guidance and support to operational and functional teams on a myriad of business/financial issues, while maintaining highest level of financial integrity.
How you will do it
Responsible for financial oversight and management of upwards of 2 metro markets worth ~$300M - 400M in annual revenue
Coordinate monthly financial planning, inquiry response and facilitate all other operational and financial matters within the Metro Markets supported.
Proactively work with the Region team to improve financial results consistent with operating plan commitments and objectives.
Coordinate Metro Market bottoms-up cadence and pressure test as compared to prior Outlook and Plan.
Partner with Metro Market General Manager to progress key strategic initiatives and leverage financial analysis to support business progress
Review key daily/monthly financial results and business metrics for the Metro Markets and identify future opportunities for improvement and barriers to achieving financial objectives.
Prepare and submit required monthly reporting packages and presentations
Identify and communicate business risk to Region Finance Director and Metro Market/Regional Management Team (includes large project review approvals, legal, re-estimates and bad debt).
Participate in Local Market backlog, WIP and baselining reviews across all domains
Partner with the Metro Markets on TWC improvement initiatives (cash, bad, debt, unbilled receivables)
Manage all known compliance issues to timely resolution. Identify potential risk areas and proactively address control weaknesses and potential process breakdowns before they occur. Timely completion of monthly Sox and other compliance checklists
Drive to Financial targets including Orders, Revenue, Margin, SGA, EBIT and Cash
Evaluate and approve requests per DOA requirements
Complete all required SOX compliance tasks
Coordinate financial training with the Metro Market / Regional operations and commercial teams.
What we look for
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or Accounting.
Minimum of 5 years of progressive financial experience in all aspects of business control.
Ability to support and control financial results in a multi-location field operation.
Ability to communicate effectively with both finance and operations and region leadership.
Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills with strong problem-solving capabilities.
Ability to lead cross functionally to achieve strategic initiatives.
Familiarity with IT systems as they relate to financial functions and operational areas (preferred experience with OneStream and Oracle).
Individual PC skills, particularly with Microsoft Excel.
Willingness to travel occasionally (10%).
