The Opportunity

The Executive Director is responsible for leadership, administration, and management of all AgeCare’s community services while reflecting the organization’s values of Trust, Quality, Respect & Teamwork.

In this role, you will focus on:

  • Collaborate with third-party vendors to maintain quality standards for care, food, and housekeeping throughout the community.
  • Achieving a high level of satisfaction among employees, residents, and their families.
  • Ensuring resident safety and providing care that exceeds regulatory requirements.
  • Driving the success of Quality Improvement Programs and initiatives.
  • Effectively managing financial resources to meet and exceed targets.

What You Will Do:

  • Foster a safe and high-quality environment for residents and their families, promoting resident-centered care.
  • Identify, assess, and monitor potential risks to service continuity, particularly related to non-care aspects. This includes evaluating housing, hospitality, environmental, and facility risks.
  • Manage contracts and ensure vendors deliver services aligned with AgeCare's standards.
  • Implement strategies to maintain high occupancy rates and actively promote the site in a positive manner.
  • Oversee adherence to AgeCare guidelines in managing the approved budget, take accountability for any budget variances, and effectively manage costs within budget parameters.

What You Bring

  • Post-Secondary Education in Business Administration or a related discipline is preferred, although combined education/experience will be taken into consideration.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience, preferably in healthcare, with administrative management and supervisory responsibilities.
  • Experience in managing operations and facilities, preferably in a senior's long-term care or retirement facility.
  • Innovative problem-solving skills.
  • Strong business and financial management abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proven leadership in managing diverse teams.
  • Proficiency in computer applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Must be able to provide a complete and current (within six months) Vulnerable Sector Check, including a Criminal Background Check, or be willing to obtain one.

Salary Range: $115,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year

Salary placement based on qualifications and experience.
