An opportunity exists for a motivated and detail‑oriented Graduate Accountant to join our Finance team. Reporting to the Manager, Accounting and Tax, this role supports a wide range of accounting activities that contribute to the accuracy, compliance, and effectiveness of financial operations across Toro Australia’s legal entities. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent finance or accounting graduate seeking hands‑on experience in a dynamic and supportive environment.

What will you do?

• Prepare month‑end and other journals for review and approval
• Complete general ledger reconciliations in OneStream
• Assist with end‑of‑month reports and reconciliations
• Process bank statements and prepare bank reconciliations
• Conduct monthly lease certification activities
• Support material costing processes, including daily costing of new materials and ECNs
• Maintain service debtor AR accounts and trade material value
• Process customer cash discounts and rebates
• Assist in preparing balance sheet schedules for planning and projections
• Prepare schedules for fringe benefits tax, electricity and motor vehicle lease costs
• Support the preparation of income tax returns, fringe benefits tax returns and financial statements
• Provide assistance with internal and external audit requests
• Undertake other accounting duties and special projects as assigned
• Ensure compliance with relevant financial legislation, safety requirements and ethical standards
• Adhere to all WHS/OHS responsibilities, policies, procedures and safe work practices

What do you need?

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related discipline
• Intermediate skills in Excel, Word and PowerPoint
• Strong numerical, analytical and problem‑solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to work both independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team
• Strong organisational skills and a proactive approach to changing priorities
• Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines
• A motivated and positive “team player” attitude
