3 Year Fixed Term Contract

Finance/Accounting Graduate (intending to pursue an Accountancy qualification)

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a position on the Ireland Finance team for an entry level Finance/Accounting graduate. This is an exciting role for someone that has an ambition to accelerate their career while completing their Accountancy qualifications. The role forms part of an Ireland Finance team with responsibility for Financial Planning, Accounting, Tax and Compliance. There are 6 Manufacturing entities within the scope of this team in addition to Human Health and Animal Health Commercial divisions.

The ask - > Bring energy, inquisitiveness, innovation and ambition to carry out the following:

Core Accounting

• Work with the Accounting to Report team in ensuring accurate and timely financial accounting across various financial entities in Ireland.
• Liaise with the Global / Regional teams to support transactional activities (e.g., source to settle, cash & investments, intercompany, fixed asset, sales accounting, pension accounting).
• Identify and bring to resolution issues and drive a continuous improvement process mindset.

Audit & Control Environment

• Work with the Accounting to Report team to coordinate Internal and External audit visits covering Sox, GAAP/Group, Statutory and Business Integrity audits across in-scope entities.

Tax & Statutory Reporting

• Work with the Tax team to support the preparation and review of Direct and Indirect tax returns, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

Financial Planning and Analysis

• Work with the Financial Planning team in the preparation and consolidation of financial forecasts.
• Gain a deep understanding of the business landscape to provide value-added insights that drive decision-making and support strategic objectives.

Process Improvement & Issue Resolution

• Support Finance Leadership with process improvement, policy development, and / or strategic initiatives (e.g., business systems, processes, and / or policies).

Skills/attributes we look for:

• A recent university graduate or final year student in Finance or Accounting, or related field.
• Proficient with all Microsoft productivity applications.
• Able to work effectively in a team environment and possess excellent communication skills.
• Have an attention to detail and ability to work with large datasets.
• Be organized and able to manage your time and priorities.
• Committed to completing ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualification within the timeframe of the contract.

Throughout the contract you will receive guidance and mentoring towards achieving your accounting career goals. You will be expected, and supported, to undertake your professional Finance/Accounting Qualification (CIMA or ACCA) from when you join us, and to come up with a timeline to completion during the contract.
